"At ease Soldier," Sedar told Ozgar as he took another swig of his beer.
He had no desire to go toe-to-toe with his best friend, whom he also considers to be his brother. Internally, he knows he can't be completely upset with him for falling in love with his wife.
He was certain he had not done it on purpose, and he was not about to tell him, giving him an excuse to pursue her further.
He did, however, have a sudden urge to send Ozgar back early so that he could stay and try to get to know Mercedes again, with the hope that it would jog his memory.
Because they didn't divorce, he believes that the contract they had is still in effect today. All he needed to do was find the right words to say it to her. He had secretly hoped that she would have accepted the position so that he could gradually convince her that she was, in fact, still an Ozturk.
"We need to get moving if we're going to make it to this meeting on time," he said, glancing at
Her voice was like a wonderful symphony in his ears that never stopped playing, making the one word vibrate in the back of his throat, and he didn't want it to stop. With her acceptance still lingering in the air between them, he pressed his lips against hers, claiming her soft moans as his own, never wanting to let her go. But he knew it wouldn't last, and he was ready and willing to live in the moment with her. Warmth bloomed in his chest, sparks igniting as she leant in closer, their lips tentatively brushing together for the second time. The aroma of her perfume, as well as her conditioner's sweet, fruity scent, made him dizzy, and butterflies danced in his gut. As she surrendered to the kiss, her lips were impossibly soft against his own and he was overcome with emotion and warmth flooding his insides. They were brought back to reality by the sound of children laughing and the buzzing of pedestrian lights. He brushed his lips against hers one last time,
Sedar entered the Manson Brothers' building. A location he's found himself returning to on a regular basis while in the country, as he's become quite good friends with the brothers, Dante, Mason and Nio. "Sedar, How are you doing, man?" Dante approaches him, shaking his hand. "I'm doing better, mate. You?" "Yeah, yeah... I'm fine. So, uh, what brings you by?" He extends an invitation for him to take a seat. "I'm attempting to reacquaint myself with my familiar surroundings in the hope that it will trigger a memory." He says as he takes a seat and unbuttons his suit jacket. "And here I thought you were dropping in because ya missed us," He says sarcastically. "Hayir, (Nah) your ugly face with your horrendous Kiwi accent drives me insane." He chuckles. "You do know the Kiwi accent was rated the sexiest accent last year?" He looks at him with amusement. "Evet, (yes) those people must have been tone-deaf, surely
Mercedes unexpectedly found herself standing in a chapel, dressed in an Emerald green gown and holding a face mask in her hand. A wooden bench caught her attention as she moved her gaze around the building. She took a step forward to take a seat on the bench. Her head felt dizzy, and everything around her seemed to be spinning, making it difficult for her to remain still. However, she quickly realised that she couldn't move, that her feet felt like bricks, and when she opened her mouth to call out, she was met with silence instead of sound. When she witnessed three people appear in front of her, she knew she was having an out of body experience. Sedar, the priest, and herself stood before her. She uttered a hushed exclamation. She double blinked, rubbing her eyes as she watched herself stand there, giggling while she looked at Sedar. She was dressed in the same Emerald green gown as she was wearing and held the same mask in her hand. Sedar was dressed in a black
Mercedes raised her eyes to the massive structure and lowered them to her phone to double-check the hotel's address. Ozgar had invited her over for breakfast last night, following a large pizza shared under the stars. She entered the building, taking in the lavish decor in the front foyer, and couldn't bear the thought of how much a night's stay would cost. She pulled out her phone as she approached the elevators, pressed the button, and sent a quick message to Ozgar informing him of her presence. When he kissed her, whispering explicit things in her ear and offered to take her to breakfast. She had to politely inform him that she would not be waking up in his arms the following morning. She also conveyed to him her confusion following their kiss and she didnt want to cause any conflict between him and Sedar. He discreetly expressed his disappointment, telling her he fully understood and that they could proceed at the pace she most felt confident with.
Sedar continued to drag Zeynep to Ozgar's room, but as he got closer, he watched Mercedes quickly turn around and break into a light jog towards the set of elevators. "Fuck!" He let out a curse. He swiped the card and shoved Zeynep inside as quickly as he could, making sure the door clicked shut behind him. Dashing towards the elevators, he watched as they slid shut, with her beautiful hazel green eyes heavy on his. "Arggh!!" He irritatedly growled. He slammed his hand against the wall, hating the sensation of her fleeing. It roused the beast within him, and before he knew it, he was sprinting towards the stairs, taking them two at a time, barefoot. He was twelve stories up and unsure if he'd be able to reach her in time, but that made the hunt a little more exciting for him. He loved a good challenge, which is precisely how he viewed his wife. A worthy challenge. "Come on!!.." Mercedes cried out as she i
Ozgar opened Mercedes' message, sighing as he finished reading it. He screamed internally as he tossed his phone back down on the table. He'd completely forgotten about their breakfast date the moment Sedar told him he'd be flying back home and babysitting Zeynep on the way. He despised it when Sedar pulled the rank card on him; it sucked because it made him feel like a lesser man between them. Not only that, but he understood why he was doing it. He was using Zeynep to divert his attention away from Mercedes. He was gradually losing his fight; challenging his best friend with his wife was a stupid idea in the first place. Especially since he knew that Sedar always gets what he wants in the end, regardless of the consequences of his actions. He watched as Sedar walked through the door, looking like the devil himself as he approached him, grabbing the scruff of his collar and pulling him to his feet. "What did I say, Ozgar?" He interrogated him, clearl
Zeynep took a few steps towards the bar, allowing her sight to wander about the space as she smiled at the venue's simplicity. Ezekiel unexpectedly appeared in front of her, dressed entirely in black and wearing a black vest that made him appear larger. She unashamedly let her eyes feast on him, when he wasn't speaking he was divine to look at and it made her lady bits squirm under the intensity of his glare. She smirked and inclined her head to the side, a sparkle of satisfaction in her eyes as she inserted the tip of her index finger in her mouth. "Well, if it isn't the big terrible wolf himself," She stated in a sultry tone with a tinge of danger. "Zeynep, what are you doing in New Zealand?" His rage-fueled remark was hardly contained. She laughed and said, "Oh, I'm sorry. Was it necessary for me to obtain your permission to visit the country?" She murmured cynically and winked at him. "I'm such a fool!" She added dramatically.
Sedar and Ozgar immediately sought out Mercedes and Zeynep upon their arrival. They openly scanned the bar as they walked to it. "There," Ozgar grimaced as he pointed to where they were standing. Sedar followed his gaze, his fists tightening as he watched his wife lay her head on another man's shoulder. He walked over to them quickly, and as he got closer to her, she looked up, meeting his gaze as if she sensed his presence. He took her hand in his and drew her to him, protectively wrapping his arm around her. She tried to move away from him, but he leant in and whispered in her ear. "Let me hold you, Askim." He spoke roughly. She froze and turned to face him, wrapping her arms around his waist. She had consumed too much alcohol, and she might regret her actions towards him later, but for now, he was going to enjoy the sensation of her wrapping her arms around him. He chuckled as he heard her breathe him in and saw her look up at him.
