The Phone Call

The dreams are getting more vivid, her wolf is huge, pure black except a small crescent moon in white on her chest. Her bright blue eyes are the same as her human counterpart. Ajax, my wolf is getting irritated by everything all he wants is his mate. 

I don’t blame him. I feel the same, I can’t concentrate on much. My fathers Gamma had expressed how unhappy he was that I had spoken out of turn towards his precious daughter. I was so pissed off by his accusations I almost snapped his neck if not for Aries stepping in. 

The phone starts to ring, bringing me out of my thoughts at the same time as Aries comes in with a coffee for us both. He places the mugs down and lifts the phone receiver. I wait and listen as he speaks, I don't get the coffee to my lips when something he says has me stopping.

“Lizzy Silver, yes, yes. Give me a moment to write that down. Ok, go ahead and your name, Ok we will see you soon thank you nurse Debs.” Aries puts the phone down and picks up the piece of paper, looking at it then me.

“Well?” I ask as my heart is beating out my chest. A cocky grin spreads over my twins face.

 “It was her, we need to go collect her” I am slightly confused by his brief sentence that gives me hardly anything to go by. I pluck the paper from his hand and read what he has scribbled down. River Grove mental hospital, I look up at him confused.

“She has been in there for seven years seemingly never spoken a word until this morning. She asked a nurse to contact us. The nurse says we should collect her before her eighteenth birthday in less than two weeks” My eyes go wide at the mention of her birthday. 

“We need to make arrangements to go to her” I find myself saying as Aries sits down and picks up his mug. “Yes we do brother, we need to tell the parents” As Aries says this I find myself groaning, I love my mother but she will start fussing. 

Before I can answer my brother the door to our office bursts open, Astrid our sister comes storming in looking like she is ready to kill someone. She stops in front of us and folds her arms over her chest, scowling at Aries.

“You better get her told, Aries, or I swear I will beat the shit out of her” Astrid advances on Aries with her finger pointed at him. Aries holds hands up in surrender, leaning back.

“Astrid, what is wrong?” As I ask this she spins at me. 

“What is wrong Arrow, is that tramp that he sleeps with seems to think she will become the next Luna and has been throwing her weight about with the omegas” She spins back to Aries, narrows her eyes and pokes him in the chest.

“Fix it Aries, what will happen if your mate arrives and has to deal with this crap” Astrid turns on her heels and leaves, slamming the door behind her. I turn to my twin who looks like he is about to cause murder. 

“Do not even start Arrow, not a word.” He drags a hand down his face, dropping into his chair. I just lift a brow before quietly drinking my coffee. I hate to admit it but Astrid had a point and I know the fact we had only moments before received that call has Aries stressed. 

I can’t help but feel excited, the thought of finally getting to meet her, the beautiful creature that has been haunting my dreams. Okay, I think to myself let's make plans. I fire up my laptop and type in the address Aries had written down,  according to this it would take almost thirty hours driving or around four hours by plane. Well that was an easy choice.

After deciding on the way to go and making plans, we made our way to my fathers office. The door is sitting ajar and we can hear both our parents laughing. 

“Ah come on in, boys, your Father was just telling me a really bad joke.” My mother says as she stands up from my fathers lap, still laughing. “It was funny enough you're still laughing.” Our father laughs as he slaps our mothers ass. 

“Well we actually have some news for you both.” Aries speaks first. Our parents just look at us with a go ahead look on their faces. “We had a call this morning about our mate.” I say and wait for it to sink in to them what we said. My mothers eyes go wide first, her hands fly to her mouth. 

“Tell us, come on boys” My fathers says looking intrigued as he sits forward.

“She is in a hospital in a small town not far from Chicago.” Both parents look at each other. “Is she Okay? Oh my we must get you both there to bring her home” My Mother starts babbling on. “Give them a minute, Love” My father says, giving her a kiss on her cheek.

Our mother sits nodding her head, while perched on my fathers knee. Both looking just as in love as the day they met twenty five years ago. I hope Aries and I can have even half of the love these pairs in front of us have.

“Well, her name is Lizzy” I say with a small smile “She has been in the hospital for seven nearly eight years, never spoken a word the whole time until this morning when she asked a nurse to contact us” I finish and wait while our parents absorb the information.

“Oh poor love” our mother says as her eyes get misty looking and her hands cover her mouth, clearly feeling deep empathy for whatever our mate has had to endure. Realising we are watching, she quickly gathers herself so she can hear the rest of our plans to collect Lizzy.
