Lily is now more of a secretary to Grandma than my personal maid, but that was okay because I did everything by myself, and I was happy that she was involving herself in what she liked to do. Her passion for organization and administration had always been evident, and seeing her flourish in this new role brought a sense of pride and relief. She was thriving, and so was the shop.

“Come in,” I said, anticipating the arrival of Regina. She was one of the maids, and she had a knack for knowing exactly when I needed something. As the door creaked open, I saw her enter, a tray balanced gracefully in her hands, laden with breakfast.

“How was I going to tell her that I wouldn’t be eating here? I still had to reject it,” I thought to myself. Regina’s breakfast looked delightful, but I had a craving for Grandma’s pie and her special latte at the shop.

“Luna, please, your breakfast,” she said, bowing slightly as she approached.
