The driver swelled, veered, and deviated the car in different directions to stop the impending doom but all to no avail. The car headed right for the bridge. Rosaline tensed, tears streamed down her face.

"To whichever God out there. Please save me and my unborn," she prayed earnestly. Rosaline clenched her fist against her dress, held her baby bump, and shut her eyes, ready for the worst to happen.

The driver relentlessly marched the brake nonstop, but it seemed like it was of no use. He said a silent prayer as the car inched closer to the bridge. A few meters to the bridge, the driver mustered all the strength he could and forcefully marched the brakes. The car's unharmed tyre screeched loudly and the car stopped abruptly.

When Rosaline felt the car stop moving, she slowly opened her eyes. Rosaline, seeing that the car had indeed stopped moving, immediately opened the car door and leaped out of the car. Immediately her feet touch the ground she felt herself get hit by a wave of naus
