I stayed in his room for the whole night, just staring blankly at the ceiling. Logan left the villa after we talked. He didn't say anything. He just listened. He just stayed in the library for a couple of hours, and then after that, he left with Jackson. I couldn't believe this was the kind of life I was having in this world. I thought when I found out Adam was my mate, the moon goddess had answered my prayers to be with my first crush, but I was wrong. Then she gave me another chance of happiness. She let me be mated with the Rogue King after Adam rejected me. Far from my expectations, she just let me taste a life of luxury for days and also took it from me in the most painful way.

'Moon goddess Diana, you are cruel!' I muttered nonchalantly. The dark room was joining me in my reflection. I was lying down alone here on this wide king's bed, hands spread on both sides, and my mind wandered far away from the werewolf lands.

"Huh?!" I jolted when suddenly the lig
