"You're refusing?" The man seemed to be pretty taken aback.

"You're not going to tell me that I am obliged to follow through, Commander Clementis," Seraphine pointed out. 

She almost groaned at the thought of those strenuous exercise that came with strict routines and a frightening teacher. This is not what she wanted; she wanted real task. 

However, she doubted she would have the privilege to that for a long time.

"No," he curtly answered.

Noticing his change of mood, Seraphine wondered whether or not his pride had been hurt by how quick she was to refuse. Then again, Kayden was far from seeming that petty.

Catching up to the man and standing beside him, Seraphine chimed, "I would prefer to be beside you at all times without working. It would make it easier for me to admire you."
