Seraphine turned back and was greeted with the pleasant face of Daniel Chizer. Instantly, a smile appeared on her face, and she stood up.
“What are you doing here?” she questioned.
Although she had only talked to the man for a day, she had a feeling they would get along well and was looking forward to establishing a friendship with him given that he was alright about it.
“Was called by Commander Clementis to discuss certain matters,” he responded. “Are you staying with Commander Clementis?”
Seraphine nodded, and the man was amazed. She wondered how incredulous would he appear if he happened to know they shared a room as well.
Not wanting to give this potential friend of hers a heart attack, she held back that detail. Intuition told her this information wouldn’t fare well with the man.
