I returned to my office, only to still meet Rita there.

“Rita, I'm worried about this company. My business is not going smoothly, the clients are demanding a lot more; I am drained.” I thought a flimsy excuse would help.

“And that's why you ignored your fiancée” She retorted.

“I… I didn't mean it that way”

She rolled my eyes and crossed her hands.

“Rita, I want you to understand that whatever action I've taken will favor both of us” I said.

“You did something wrong, you have to admit properly, just apologize and I'll let it go” Rita said innocently.
