Festive lights

Lucien smiles at me, praising me wordlessly for how I look. What did I even look for him? In his eyes, I was just a woman. But I was so wrong.

The way the world stops spinning just for me, the lights are focused on him while he makes me the centre of his universe with that gaze. I couldn't force myself to stop, but as we reach the rooftop, a loud bang in the air brings me out of my thoughts.

My eyes widen.

"L-Lucien..." the sky was painted with warm hues of orange and red with fire. The fireworks that explode makes me think of an art, even if it was momentary in the sky. Tears start pooling in my eyes.

"The world doesn't need to know, but you are my queen anywhere, anytime. I love you, Laura." My tears were given a reason. Crashing into his body, I see up and see the fireworks drowning down in the atmosphere but it still looked so beautiful. The pack members must be confused upon the appearance of such a huge firework in the air.
