Dargan’s POV
Inside what I now considered our bedroom, I dropped both my mates on the bed. Their vocabulary was a mix between a comedy show and a sailor’s dictionary. Threats were made and attacks were planned, but they were all unsuccessful.
But we laughed…
Until I sealed my lips over Ashley’s hot mouth and her moan felt like a fucking stroke to my balls. Right after I felt Gaia’s hand move up and down my jean-clad erection and I let out a moan of my own. I thrust my hips into Gaia’s hand, wanting more of her touch and at the same time laced my hand around Ashley’s neck pulling her closer. But as if sensing what I wanted she pulled away and escaped, rolling off the bed and walking away with a grin on her face. I growled low--- and snorted with displeasure, as Gaia also used this opportunity to escape.
“Tease,” I complained, standing too, but my mate just rolled her eyes at me and walked away. Gaia snickered, rolling to the edge
Ash's POV“It’s dates just two days before their accident,” the alpha twin read out loud. “Oh, and would you look at that? It was written on the same day as they were made aware of the DNA results.” He glanced over at Thea, his eyes cold and calculating as he slowly peeled back the layers of manipulations and lies spun by the alpha female.“Where is the will that states you were left everything?”Thea looked like a cornered animal, her eyes flickering to the powerful wolves now judging her.“I-I wasn’t---,” she stammered, and probably for the first time in her life, she felt actual fear. “I wasn’t aware that I’d be on trial. I---” She swallowed thickly, before squaring her shoulders and definitely met Darian’s gaze. “They told me! They told both of us of their p
Ash’s POVI pulled out the DNA test that Rhea had taken with her. Hell, I couldn’t even remember putting the thing in my pocket, but right now I was glad that I had that stupid habit.“This is a DNA test that proves that Thea Holliday isn’t the rightful heir to the Artemis Pack,” I said loudly, holding up the piece of paper that proved Rhea’s innocence. And then looked straight at Thea, loving that I got to take this bitch down.“She’s a Replacement Baby!”The room erupted in whispers, the concept of the Replacement Baby still a sensitive topic among a lot of wolves. Families had been ripped apar
Ash's POV“Then what the hell were you doing in Rhea Holliday’s room?” Dargan--- no! Darian asked, having taken point on this investigation. Smart, since Dargan wasn’t mentally fit to be diplomatic…“She killed my parents,” Thea screeched, her voice breaking, as if she were on the verge of tears. “I wanted to talk to her! To tell her that I would never forgive her for what she did and that she doesn’t deserve to be happy!”She tore her face away, playing the strong, victimized daughter. Her one hand wrapped around her middle, and the other one came up to cover her mouth, making her look absolutely miserable. Hell, there was even some moisture in her eyes, and I hated that I almost believed her.
Ash’s POV“I refuse to have my authority undermined by a bunch of sexist assholes!”It was the first thing I heard when I entered the pack house assembly hall. And sure enough, like all narcissists who need an audience and a stage, Thea stood in the middle of it, spouting her righteous bullshit!I wanted to kill her!My wolf was all in for the idea. To attack and tear her into tiny little pieces! To rip her heart out of her chest and feed it to her. Hell, maybe I’d even take a page out of Dargan’s book and shove it up her asshole to see if that stick up her ass would spear it…But I couldn’t!
Ash’s POVI was pacing the hallway until I think there was a permanent mark from my shoes on the floor. I sat down, glaring at the clock on the wall. It ticked like a hammer against my skull, every second felt like an eternity that just never seemed to end.I couldn’t lose her!I couldn’t!Not when I’d finally found her!FUCK!!!I couldn’t sit still!I stood and paced the length of the waiting room outside the operating room once more. My wolf was growling and hissing in my mind
Ash’s POVI was moving before I was thinking. I ripped the door off its hinges and stormed down the hallway. Growing, when I saw the door to Rhea’s room slightly ajar and the stench of blood and gunpowder filling the air, as if trying to choke me.I made a dive for it, storming into the room--- and horror shook my entire being at what I saw.Rhea was on the floor, curled in on herself. One hand covered a massive hole in her stomach, the other one was weakly swaying in the air, covered in blood. My eyes snapped to Thea, standing over her with a gun still in her hand, pointing it at Rhea.NO!With a roar, I jumped at the alpha female, grabbing her
