Anna’s fist clenched as she resisted the urge to turn around and pull the hair of Billy and give her a piece of her fist. How dare she say those words to her without remorse. That Caspian no longer wanted her? Only the thought alone was enough to have her moving to her bed and kicking on the frame severally until her legs hurt. She groaned.

Just a few words with Billy and it already ruined her mood. The girl really was a joyous killer. Letting out a frustrated sigh, she made her way out of the room, stopping in her tracks when she found Billy in front of Caspian’s room, perhaps about to go in. Before she could, Anna stormed toward her and grabbed her by the sting of her flimsy peach dress. She turned.

“You don’t take lessons, do you?” She kept her voice down so their conversation didn’t leak to the other side. “Billy, this is rude.”

“Get your hands off.” She shrugged her hands off her. “You don’t have to act like my mother or try to scold me.”
