The Trace of His Touch

Ross listened as she spoke on the telephone. Tippa hangs up the phone.

"What did they say? Can it be removed now from the ravine?" He asked anxiously.

"I'm sorry the man said, "as long as it continues to snow, they won't be able to pull or tote any cars right now. But once the snow stops falling, maybe at the end of the week, the tote truck company will be able to pull your vehicle out of the ravine."

"That's seven days from now! I can't believe this! I’ve been away from work long enough! Now I have to wait another seven days?"

Tippa looked disappointed that he was so anxious and ready to leave her company for work. She felt selfish, knowing there was a raging pandemic, people's lives were at stake, and he could help them.

“Do you want to take my car?”

“No! I couldn’t do that and leave you stranded.”

"I tell you what? Maybe we could at least get your clothes from the truck this morning. I climbed down there once. I can do it again. How does that sound?" Tippa said in a consoling t
