Tippa enters the library room, where she finds Mr. Kincaid sitting with his legs crossed, reading the newspaper. He makes her house feel like an elegant home. It is an environment that fits his calm, serene demeanor and mysterious disposition. He looks up at her; he has caught her staring. His expression remains impassive as his gaze slowly examines her face, lingering on her mouth before shifting to her outfit. “Well, look at you. I remember this girl.” Ross says with one dark, thick brow arched sexily. Then he stood as his broad shoulders filled the library room.He looked at her almost curiously with his shiny hair and clean-shaven face, smelling divine. “I remember this boy, too,” Tippa replied, smiling. She glanced at him from head to toe, noticing his weathered boots, which complemented his outfit. His demeanor differed from the one she had encountered over the past few weeks; he no longer appeared to be just a doctor but the man she recalls dating and almost said, 'I do.'"Ni
Ross is exceptionally handsome, manly, and very much a true gentleman in every sense of the word. He didn't tower over her because she's a tall girl, about five-nine and even taller in heels. But she liked looking at him almost directly in his good-looking face. Tippa view that advantage a treat. Those large almond-shaped eyes were like two deep, dark pools of water in this environment. Tippa seemed not to be able to take her eyes off of them. His eyes did something to her heart and body unexplainable.“Oh wow! It’s open!” She said excitedly. “Let’s put our mask on, Tip.” Ross encouragedOnce inside the building, she exclaims. “Wow! Warmth feels much better." "Come on, we have to take the elevator to the view tower." She says, now walking in front of him.The country store at the foot of the mountain had several levels. The town called it the "One-stop Mountain Lookout General Store."It had a grocery store on the first level and a clothing store on the second. Also, it had a restaur
Ross stood there not able to fully appreciate the moment. His heart felt like he couldn't take anymore. The feelings he was experiencing right now were overshadowing his time with Tippa. The things he had seen and heard and went through back in New York left him feeling horrible. He felt an insurmountable guilt for not doing more to stop his father! But what could he do? He did what was humanly possible. Then, he thought of Tippa. "Oh my God! What kind of man she must be thinking I am? Tippa would be ashamed of me if she heard that I stood by and watched and didn't try to do something to help these sick people and my coworkers." Ross thought to himself. “It's gorgeous up here.”’Ross says quietly, looking directly at Tippa with longing eyes. “Did you say something? She said, looking away from the view and up at him. That’s when Ross tries to summon the courage to speak the words of his heart. But instead, he just stared into her eyes. “What's going on?” She asked in a quiet tone.”
At first, he couldn't read the expression in her eyes. It was so unusual. But now Ross understood why she was behaving so excitedly. He thought it was because she wanted to avoid talking about the kiss and didn't want to hear him apologizing about it. The short but highly passionate, not to mention stimulating kiss had to be on her mind because it was still on his. But that wasn't why she was excited. No, the girl was this way about seeing snowfall. Ross chuckled. It was cute to experience her seeing it. He could tell it had been a long time since she got to experience snowfall. After arriving at the house and opening the front door, Tippa sashays across the hardwood cherry floors toward the kitchen and the back of the house. Ross goes out the back door to get more wood. Dropping her handbag and removing her coat, hanging them on one of the kitchen chairs, she washed her hands at the kitchen sink and went to the refrigerator. She was famished. While surveying the fridge's contents, h
Before long, it was freezing as the wind was blowing fine white snow across the undulating landscape, turning everything brown and green a crisp white. It turned into a blisteringly cold evening very quickly after Ross left Tippa’s house. Earlier, it had started snowing, but she had no idea the snow would fall so heavy. Around seven that evening Tippa stood outside with the snow falling all around her, in a state of confusion, she just didn’t understand this man she loved. How could Ross leave her again? She questioned. Finally, she found the strength to go back to the house. She hurries and closes the door and locks it, as the ice-cold wind starts to gust after Ross drives away. Her sobbing tears Tippa managed to contain in front of Ross before he left. But now they came bursting forth. Tippa cried as she busied herself around the kitchen and put away the remaining food that she had so lovingly cooked for him. Tippa took every opportunity to look out the window to see how strong th
Meanwhile, Tippa is struggling to get dressed so she can leave and go look for Ross. "Stupid boots, Stupid snow! Crazy guy!"Tippa finally raced from the house heading to her car and she stopped in the middle of the snow-covered driveway and leaned over, resting her hands on her thighs, trying to catch her breath. "I used to be more fit than this. What's going on? It's like, I'm out of shape or something. All those early mornings on the treadmill nearly every day of my adult life, it better count for something.” She finally made it to her car, looking at her snow tires that already had an accumulation of two feet of packed snow. “Okay, this is what I paid for all that money for good snow tires. She muttered to herself, turning on the ignition and then straightening the wheel and shifting into drive two. She slowly backs out, and her wheel turns with ease in the snow. Tippa had never driven in the snow. When she thought she had the hang of it then she would encounter an icy patch
The next time she lifts her head, she sees them lifting him out of the snowed-in ravine and then putting him on a stretcher and then loading him into the back of the truck and driving away. Tippa hops out of her car, frantically shouting behind the moving rescue truck. "Wait! Where are you taking him?!" She hops back in her car and tries to follow them. Tippa couldn't drive above 20 miles per hour. The snow swirling across the night sky swirling whiteness was all you could see. The whirling bits of snow slapped hard against the windshield and clinging to her wipers. Exhaustingly, Tippa drove her car, trying to keep up with the rescue truck. "Where are they taking him? He wasn't injured, that I could see, and he wasn’t totally unconscious! did wake up once! " Five miles later, they pull up to the hospital and take Ross out of the truck, who is still unconscious! Tippa pulls up behind them and hops out of her car! "What's wrong with him?!" She asked, shaking like a leaf as the snowf
When Ross saw Tippa standing there, he almost felt embarrassed. He gave her a small smile when she was happily waving at him with her mask on. The hospital orderly then rolled him to the car as Tippa immediately reached down, taking him into her arms to embrace him. Tears poured out of Tippa's eyes like pools of water as she held him close to her body."Hey, come on don't cry. I'm alright," Ross said gently as he wiped the tears from her face. The man helped him into the car. Tippa reached across him and buckled his seatbelt. Ross inhaled the soft fragrance from her hair. She smelled delightful and like home. “I guess you can’t get rid of me,” Ross remarked as she drove him back to her house. “Was it I who was trying to get rid of you? I don’t think so.”Ross smiled, wishing he didn’t have to leave that night either."Are you tired? You look good despite what you’ve been through.""I'm still feeling pretty sedated. I want to thank you for helping me last night. Tippa, you're such a b
