Tippa experienced a sense of peace and calm once she moved back into her place. This afternoon, she opened the sliding glass doors that led to her balcony. The temperature is hovering just around 72 degrees.

It's a perfect day.

She thought of the times she and Ross would sit out on the balcony together after their dates together. Tippa knew she would never get to experience Ross’s sweet lips kissing hers." Sighing as she slid the door closed behind her.

It was hard being back home because the memories were here too, but she was sure this was the right move and the best decision for her now. Even though her aunt and uncle tried to convince her it wasn't a good decision. The family thought it was an awful idea for her to be alone at such a vulnerable and challenging time. “Good morning. Are you awake?” “I am now,” Tippa says in a groggy tone. “How is your little project coming along?” “It’s not.” “Why?!”“I’m too consumed with hurt and I don’t want to seem weak when I talk to his family.”“You are not weak and have every right to be in pain.”“I’m coming over. I’m on my way.”It was done. Shwe was now committed to getting out of bed. She hung up the phone, swinging her legs over the side of the bed, and headed for the bathroom. Last night's dream had been too real, Tippa recalled as she prepared to take a bath before Julia arrived. In her mind, it was vivid as she recalled the dream, as if it was real enough to touch. She sat on the bed and picked up the pen lying atop her cloth-covered journal. Unscrewing the top, she closed her eyes for several seconds. The tip of the pen was poised over a clean page before she sighed and collected her thoughts. Dream # 125 The love we two shared was the sweetest thing. And the two of them were happy and content

Tears from the memory of her dreams ran down her cheeks as she recalled them. Tippa, deep down inside, knew she should have gotten some therapy. The loss she experienced was too significant for anyone to handle and recover from so quickly, all alone. She took a leisurely shower, knowing it would take her cousin Julia more than half an hour to drive from her family’s house to her modest, one-bedroom apartment complex. Patting herself dry, Tippa took an excessive amount of time to lotion her body with a scented creamy lotion. She hadn’t moisturized her skin in weeks. Tippa brushed her hair and secured it at the crown of her head with several large bobby pins. Peering into the mirror over the bathroom sink, she noted that some of the swelling around her eyes had gone down. Most people would not notice the slight puffiness under her large eyes, but those people did not include Julia. There were very few things she could conceal from Julia Wilson. She couldn’t talk openly about her feel

Tippa knew the way she was raised and her family background, but it was a question she had never considered. She wondered how this was a topic for conversation anyway. Nevertheless, the ladies pressed on with the questions, waiting for her response."Yes, you. Would you date a man that came from wealth?" The woman asked pointedly."Hmm. to answer that, I’m thinking about how I rarely change my hairstyle. "Tippa snickered, hoping that would be enough of an answer.“And…” The lady stated with all eyes on Tippa. "I'm not that big on change. Besides, I would have to get to know him first, and if getting to know him, we would fall in love. He’s a decent guy with morals of right and wrong who would stand up for me. I would date him if he were born into a wealthy family.” She replied reluctantly. "Even if his family hates you! And I couldn’t stand your guts! Got you fired! And offered you money to get away from their son!" The woman kept on with her persistent, harsh questioning, stating

Tippa could feel the anticipation of arriving at her new house. She became overwhelmed as Uncle Yazzy drove up this incline and down this winding road. After about a half mile, they followed the moving truck, and at the end of the winding road, there sat the Victorian Gem. The moving truck, as did her uncle’s SUV with her little car attached to it, finally stopped. Her uncle pulled to the house and into the driveway and said, “We've made it, Tippa! Here’s your new home!”Tippa stepped out of the truck. The cool night air greeted her. It was crisp, clear, and fresh, just as the Real Estate agent described it would be this time of year. She laid her eyes on the two-story sage-colored house with a basement. It's all trimmed in white, with all its Victorian carvings giving it so much character! Along with a wrap-around porch, it looks like something out of the movies. It was simply lovely! Her uncle Yazzy asked. “Do you have the key? I want to go in first to make sure everything is safe b

  • Hearts Unbroken   From Bad To Worse.

Tippa could feel the cool air hit her skin as her mind began floating in and out of consciousness. It felt like her mind was separating from her body. The next thing she recalled was seeing a tunnel and a bright light at the end of it.She muttered breathlessly. “No, no, no…don’t look at the light,” she said as her eyes closed on their own accord. Then something or someone lifted her into their arms from the cold floor away from the light. She wasn’t ready to die. Tippa had dreamt so much these past months that she couldn’t tell reality from her dreams at this moment. She had no idea how long she had been lying on the floor. But someone strong and masculine took and lifted her from the cold floor. Tippa knew she had to be delirious because the last thing she remembers is being home alone. So this couldn’t be happening. It had to be her mind playing tricks on her, or maybe, just maybe, a higher power heard her pleas and an angel was coming to take her away. Tippa wanted to protest tha

“Yes, mother, we are done! I’ve moved out!” Ross replies.“Don’t tell me you moved in with that girl!” “No! She’s a respectable young lady, and if I wanted to stay with her, she would let me. But I want to honor her by living with her as her husband and her as my wife! So, I moved into the doctor's apartments at the hospital.”"I'm sorry, Ross! Don’t do this; don’t leave the only home you’ve ever known.”Ross continues to ignore his mother's pleas. Elise became angry!“No, I'm not sorry for interrupting this travesty of a relationship! So we will have to start cutting back as winter approaches." "Cut back on what? We are one of the richest hospitals in the nation! It's not the time for cutbacks. Since the beginning of the pandemic, it was reported today on the news as Ross, Tippa, and Elise attentively observed the newscaster's words. You don't have to take advantage of your employees that way.""Okay, dinner is served," Tippa calls out from the kitchen as she brings an Elise plate to the table."List

"Dear, when will you utter some words or say something?" she asked, looking at him nervously."I will say something. Can you be patient, baby? But if it's not time, give us the strength to accept that and continue to try for happiness, but most of all, don't let us lose the love and joy we have for one another. Amen." His prayer moved Tippa so much that she kissed him in the mouth. "That was touching, sweetie. You need to pray for our family more often. I’m sure God heard that prayer." "Thanks, I was nervous.
