Tamara drove to the café and saw that Simon had already arrived. She took a seat at his table.

“How do you know Camilla?” Simon asked right away as soon as she sat down. He glared at her without his usual casual smile.

Tamara turned toward the waiter and said, “A glass of water, please.”

“Okay, please wait a moment.” The waiter turned and left.

Tamara then looked at Simon and said slowly, “Camilla is my soon-to-be sister-in-law.”

“What did you say?”

Simon thought he was hallucinating. “Camilla is Tamara’s soon-to-be sister-in-law?” he thought to himself, “Her cousin is Jayden Moore. Are Camilla and Jayden together? Isn’t Jayden Camilla’s mentor? How is that even possible?”

Seeing the shock on his face, Tamara couldn’t help but ask, “Mr. Dashner, do you fancy Camilla?”

At her words, Simon’s face darkened. “How could I fancy someone like her? I only wanted to find her because she didn’t keep her promise to me. I just want to settle the score with her.”
