Benjamin froze for a moment. "I went back to the Inkling Manor."

Margot blinked at this. "Did Lance stir up any trouble?"

Benjamin chuckled softly. "Would he dare?"

Margot looked at him. "Right, he wouldn't. You're so formidable. He'll only end up losing if he picks a fight with you."

Benjamin glanced at her before he leaned down to peck her lips. "You're that confident in me?"

Margot nodded. "Of course. You're my future husband. I have complete faith in you."

Benjamin's breath hitched at that, and he lifted her. "Well, this future husband of yours will take you home."

Margot nestled in his arms, her cheeks tinged with a slight blush. She squinted her eyes, looking like a contented cat.

As soon as they entered Windsong Mansion, Benjamin kissed Margot silly. He trailed kisses down her face before finally meeting her lips. Their breaths intertwined as they rolled around.

Margot hugged his neck and responded passionately. It was as if two parched fish had finally found water and
