Tamara hugged Alex. "Good night, Mom."

"Good night." Alex made sure Tamara returned to her room before going back to hers. She had already finished her evening routine and was waiting for Tamara to come back.

Her expression turned cold when she saw Jacob. She pulled open the covers and got under it.

Jacob immediately put the book down and turned off the lights. He came over to hold her.

"Don't touch me." Alex's voice was tired and cold.

Jacob paused, but he still forcibly hugged her. His breath fell on her neck.

Alex's voice grew even colder. "You're getting old, Jacob. Why can't you control yourself better?"

Jacob chuckled. "How else am I supposed to satisfy you?"

Alex frowned. "Why didn't you believe Tammy?"

Jacob tightened his hold on her. "Alex, I already made my compromise."

Alex's breath hitched.

Jacob turned her around and gazed into her eyes. "Stop thinking about him."
