Margot gave Kayla a cold look. "Are you his mother? Who are you to meddle with his affairs? What's your relationship with Benjamin? How dare you chase away his savior without his permission?"

Kayla hadn't expected the frail girl to be so quick-witted. She was at a loss for words.

Margot rolled her eyes at Kayla before turning back to Patrick. "Which ward is Benjamin in?"

The dumbfounded Patrick snapped back to reality. He unconsciously pointed to a nearby ward.

Without wasting any more time on them, Margot walked toward the room.

"Stop right there!" Kayla suppressed her annoyance and glared at Margot. "You look suspicious. Benjamin needs rest right now. It's fine if you want to see him. But first, we must look into your identity and ensure you won't harm him."

"Are you stupid? How in the world did you come up with that insane excuse?" Margot glanced at Kayla as if she was looking at a madman. "If I wanted to harm him, why would I save him in the first place?"
