Chapter 1437 Beating

Jayden watched as Camilla entered the changing room. His eyes darkened when he remembered Scott's confession.

After Scott got off work and returned home that night, several men jumped out and dragged him into a dark alley. They began to beat him into a bloody pulp.

"Who ... Who are you? I never offended you. Why are you doing this to me?" Scott asked in surprise, feeling disoriented from the attack.

The group of people ignored him and continued their assault on him until he was left bruised and in pain.

They finally stopped when Scott was just an inch away from death.

One of them spoke, "Rein in your thoughts. If you don't stop obsessing over her, we'll make sure to make a corpse out of you!"

With that, the men left.

Scott lay on the ground and gasped for breath. He took out his phone with great difficulty and pressed a certain button. Despite his bruised and swollen face, he managed to smile.
