Camilla looked at Scott, who sat down across the table. An odd feeling flitted through her heart, but her countenance remained largely the same—cold and reserved. She replied calmly, "Indeed, what a coincidence."

With a bashful smile, Scott said, "I never thought I'd bump into you here. What are you doing here alone? Have you had dinner?"

"I'm not alone," Camilla replied as she nodded her head in Kylie's direction. "My friend's over there."

Scott followed her gaze and his eyes flashed when he saw the trio sitting at a nearby table. Then, he turned back and said, "Oh, I thought you were alone. Since you're hanging out with your friend, I'll just excuse myself."
