The next day, precisely at 8 am, Camilla stood at the manor's entrance and rang the doorbell. Shortly after, a maid appeared, her face marked by gray hair and the lines of a life well-lived. Nevertheless, her kind smile welcomed the guest.

"You must be Ms. Camilla," the maid said, her voice warm and inviting.

Camilla nodded in affirmation. "That's correct."

The maid's smile widened. "No need for formalities, Ms. Camilla. Just call me Ms. Thompson."

Camilla nodded. "Good day, Ms. Thompson."

Ms. Thompson nodded and led Camilla into the manor.

"Ms. Camilla, the children are in their room. You can head directly there," Ms. Thompson informed with a smile, guiding Camilla toward the staircase.

She then headed upstairs.
