Jayden returned with a medical kit on hand. His handsome face was devoid of the usual smile, and he calmly took out some anti-inflammatory ointment from the kit and applied it to Camilla's face.

Camilla bit her lip and remained silent.

She hadn't thought much about the slap initially. It only caused a momentary ringing in her ears.

But now, as Jayden carefully applied the ointment, the burning pain intensified.

Camilla suddenly felt like crying, but she held back her tears and suppressed her emotions.

She quickly lowered her gaze, and her eyelashes fluttered from time to time. After a while, she finally asked, "Why are you out so late?"

Jayden's hand paused for a moment, but he quickly resumed its normal motion. "I couldn't sleep and decided to go down for some fresh air. Who would have thought I would encounter you being bullied? As your teacher, I couldn't just stand by and do nothing."

So it was only because she was his student.
