At nightfall, the two followed Anthony’s map and made their way out of there. They hardly ran into any soldiers on their way out. They arrived at the beach and saw a small boat docking by the shore.

Sebastian and Tamara looked at each other. They could tell from each other’s eyes that they felt a little relieved.

Jeremiah was on the cruise ship in the distance and was looking out through the binoculars. When he saw the figures appearing by the shore, he immediately said, “Open fire. Blow that eyesore of a castle into smithereens.”

“Roger that!”

After Sebastian and Tamara got into the boat, they heard a dull noise coming from nearby. They looked up and saw a few bombs flying toward the castle.

Tamara was in disbelief. “How ruthless.”

Sebastian smiled. “That’s very clever.”

In a moment of swift contemplation, Tamara pieced everything together, understanding the full scope of the situation. Bombing the castle after they got into the boat could divert attention and draw fire away fr
