When the food was eaten and the leftovers properly put away, Beau took the dishes back to the cabin and Bri perched herself, half lounging on the bench swing. The boys had run off to their house on some kind of mission as I scraped the grill clean.

”You've raised some good young men there, Alpha," she said, disturbing the quiet night air. An owl sounded not far off. I wasn’t used to the compliment so I just responded with.

"They’re behaving themselves tonight, I'm sure the spell of having company will soon fade and the antics will pick back up in no time." I put the scrapper away crossing my arms over my chest.

"Thank you for offering to help the boys, you didn't have to do that. I'm afraid my schooling skills are rusty and Beau nearly flunked out of high school. It was everything I could do to get him to finish. Honestly, they don't usually ask for help and I'm surprised that they admitted they were struggling." She shrugged.
