CONFUSED

Edna ran as fast as she could through the dark unknown hallways .She didn't care how fast her heart was beating or that she had slipped twice falling on the floor. She just knew one thing; she had to get as far as possible from that monster chasing her .She stopped at one corner catching her breath which was coming in small gasps. She screamed a little and flinched back when she felt a hand on her shoulder.

" Hey, it's me Rose calm down " Rose said softly .

" Rose ,..." Edna hiccuped before continuing " H--e   ki--lled someone . He is going t--o ki--ll me too." She said as tears streamed down her face .Rose pulled her into a hug running her hand up and down in order to calm her. Edna got a grip of herself a little as she pulled away from the warm embrace. How much she missed her mother. She wanted to go back home .

" You okay? " Rose asked concern laced in her voice .Edna nodded her head still sniffing .

" Okay , child go back to your room I will manage from here " Edna jumped at the sudden deep voice. She turned around to find Adriano standing behind her, arms crossed over his broad chest with a blank look on his face. Edna quickly snapped her head back to Rose who give him a nod before giving small squeeze to Edna's hand and she was get inside in one of the room in the hallway.

Edna didn't want to face the monster behind her.She didn't want to be anywhere near him .She ran a hand through her face and was about to run away again but a strong hand encircled around her waist as soon as she took a step forward . He spun her around so that she was facing him snd she gulped down as he pressed his lips to a tight line and threw her over his broad shoulders.

" No ,no,no ,let go of me you monster! Let go " Edna thrashed about and kicked him but to no avail. She whimpered when she was back in his room and he softly placed her on the bed and hovered above her placing his both palms beside her head.

" Get off of me , let me go you murderer! You monster .. let go me! " she screamed hitting him in the chest and tried to get up but doesn't succeeded.

" Let ..."she hissed again but never get to complete her sentence as he took a deep breath closing his eyes before cutting her off. 

 "ENOUGH EDNA !"His loud voice boomed ,resonating through whole room .

Edna froze  in her place. Fear was an understatement she was terrified . This wss the first time he had called her by her name. She averted her gaze from him not strong enough to look at his angry face.

" Don't you dare to move even a muscle doll or I'm  gonna make you REGRET SO MUCH! " he hissed in her ear. A chill run down her spine at his words.

He finally get off of her and she released a breath . She heard him rummaging through the closet and then slammed shut the door of the bathroom .

Edna wanted to run away from here but her body didn't move a bit . After a minute or two he come back in a new grey tee shirt .He looked at her; staring at the ceiling blankly as silent tears streamed down her face.

It hurts him too much to see her in this state. He wanted to hold her and comfort her saying that everything was fine. He wanted to make her every moment of her filled with happiness but lately he was doing the opposite. But that's why he told her not to come out but he forget how stubborn she could be .He didn't want her to be scared of him .He sighed before getting in bed and pulling the covers over her body even such small moment make her flinch .He clenched his jaw at her behavior. It  broke his heart. He laid down next to her and drew her close to her chest by her waist as he draped an arm over her waist .

Edna whimpered as she felt his body behind her although he was out of the covers and his arm resting on her waist was also above the covers but she felt him stiffen as she tried to pry his arm off of her .He tightened his grip more and drew her closer to him more .

" Stay still or I'm  gonna hurt you so bad you won't even think of doing it again." he said deathly calm to her .His threat seemed to work as her futile attempt was stopped .

He brought his one hand up to her head and she squeezed her eyes but he just gently massaged her head .

" I don't wanna hurt you. So don't make me. Go to sleep. " he said softly and lovingly before running his hand through her dark brown locks . Edna slumped on the pillow more as his fingers grazed her forehead she hated how relaxing it was. She closed her eyes falling into a deep sleep .

"Three days. It has been three days since I last saw my daughter ...."Thomas thought sadly . Why did he leave her alone that night ? It was all his fault that his sweet daughter was not with them anymore . The police was trying to find her but they got nothing to proceed with their investigation. He had called every single person Edna knew , checked every place where she could go but he got nothing, just nothing .

" They found something about her Thomas ?" Eva his wife asked hopefully as soon as he entered the house.

He shook his head in disappointment before slumping on the sofa .Eva broke down in tears at his answer it has been three days and she hadn't seen her daughter .There was no news about her .

"  What about that CCTV footage? They get some clue from that? " 

" No , the man who kidnapped her was wearing a mask. Maybe he was aware of camera. He left no clue Eva." 

" Thomas I  want my daughter.  Please, please do something please !!" she cried out and he hugged her trying to comfort her though he was broken inside .

" I will. We will have our daughter back Eva. Nothing is gonna happen to her. " he assured her although he wasn't sure about it .

Edna slowly peeled her eyes open as sun rays hit her eyes. She groggily opened them and sat up to find herself alone in the bed .She looked around the room but Adraino was not in the sight .

He left she concluded after looking around .She ran a hand through her hair before getting up from the bed .She sighed thinking what had happened yesterday and cursed herself for being so pathetic . She made her way towards the closet taking out a pair of washed black jeans and a red full sleeve over sized shirt and lazily get to bathroom .She needed a good long shower .After 30 minutes of taking her time to relax beneath the warm water she finally got out dressed. She dried her hair with the towel and left them to dry on their own and simply combed her straight hair and plopped down on the bed which was now all made. This meant that someone was in this room while she was showering.She licked up her lips as she decided to be strong he was not going to order her around as he pleased she would fight back whatever the consequences may be .She would escape from this hell hole and she would do whatever it took she thought determinedly.   

She looked at the clock to show it was 10 am. The door of her room opened and Rose walked in with a tray of food in her hands .Edna sighed in relief that it wasn't Adriano; the last person she wanted to see was him. He scared her so much that all the courage and bravery she gathered just a one look from him shatter them into pieces. 

" Good morning !" Rose said enthusiastically and Edna rolled her eyes before muttering a' Morning' .

" Good you have showered. Now time for the breakfast " 

" I'm not hungry" she said curtly and the smile dropped from Rose face.

" Look , I know this is all too much to take in but trust me Sir cares for you he is not bad at heart ." she said softly placing the tray on the bed in front of her . Edna snorted in response and pressed her head to the headboard.

" That man killed someone and you are saying he is not bad !" She said angrily throwing her hands in the air.

" He is mafia boss what you do suppose he should do. Miss William , he cares for you. You are alright without any injury becauseI know how much sir hates who disobey them but yet he didn't hurt you . He sincerely loves you . "

" Okay , Rose I get it you have your loyalties with him.  You are his child and I'm not judging you .You have your reason to find him as a good man but I don't. You are not in my place so I suggest you to not give me advice when you have no freaking idea WHAT I AM GOING THROUGH!" she snapped angrily at her and a hurtful expression passed through Rose's face but she nodded her head .

" Okay , I won't but please eat your food "she said getting up from the bed .

" I'm not hungry" Edna mumbled pushing the tray .

" But ....." she was cut off by another voice who they both never even realized was there listening their conversation. Both the girls snapped their heads towards the voice .

" It's okay child , leave i will take it from here" he said calmly ,leaning on the door frame eyes fixed on Edna.

Rose get out of there without uttering a single word but not before mouthing "Edna behave".

He took long strides towards her and with each footsteps Edna's heartbeat increased but she stayed strong although she was shaking from inside .

" Come on eat " he said simply sitting in front of her and his facial expression very normal not even a trace of anger or remorse of what he did yesterday .

" I'm not hungry " she muttered again .

" Come again?" he asked an edge present in his voice. 

" I'm not afraid of you " Edna said gathering up all the courage she had looking him in the eyes but she regreted this because as she did the calm look on his face was replaced by the dark one .She  gulped down the lump that formed in her throat. Seeing her in this horrified state, he bit his lips to stop from himself from laughing. But a small smile crept to his lips .Edna looked at him confused with wide eyes and blinked as he finally let out a small chuckle .

" Sure, you aren't.." he mused and she tightened her jaw " That's a good thing because I don't want you to be afraid of me. There are lots of people to fill up that role ." he finished with a smirk .

" Now eat I won't ask again " he said sternly 

" What are you my master ?" she asked through greeted teeth .

" No, your lover " he said immediately and Edna opened her mouth to retort but closed it when nothing came to her mind at his blunt statement . She blushed furiously as he let out a laugh .

" Now, now, now my doll you have two options; eat this by yourself or I'm gonna pull you on to my lap and force feed you. Either way you will eat so choose as I count, because after 1 your time will be over and then I will feed you by myself  which I will actully like and you on the other hand not so much...3...2....1"   he said grinning and as soon he said one Edna quickly took the fork and stabbed the egg and put in her mouth .

"Can I ask you something? .." she asked swallowing the food as he was giving her an amused expression.

" Yes, sure ask .."

Since he was looking in a good mood Edna thought it will be the right time she asked him why the hell he was so interested in her .

"umm.. why did you become so obsessed .... with me ?" she ended carefully as he give him a pointed look . Then he smiled. She was so adorable the way she changed her expression .He hummed before answering .
