I twirled the diamond wristwatch on my wrist, I desperately wished for this engagement not to take place.

How am I going to face Rosy if I get married to Katherine? How am I going to win back her heart?

I sighed deeply and slumped into the sofa, pouring whiskey into the tumbler before me.

I groaned and gulped down a generous quantity of the whiskey. The substance burned my throat as it descended to my belly. I groaned and exhaled loudly, taking another swig of the alcohol.

“You know that won’t solve anything, right?” Julius muttered behind me and I swerved around, glaring daggers at him.

My anger intensified when I saw Kim and Casper hovering behind him.

How dare these betrayers show their disgusting faces here?

“I never invited you!” I spat.

“We know that, don’t tell me you’re sulking over a little fight we had,” Casper sassed and trudged leisurely into the room.

I slammed the glass on the table, spewing some of its contents on the plush Persian rug
