Shin Hye: Tell me!!

"Son, something came up and I have to go back to the hospital" said Hee Young as she came out her room after the call.

"Is okay mom, you can leave. I have Shin Hye, Se Jong and Hyun Seo here. I'll be fine" Tae Jin replied with a smile and Hee Young stared at her son, feeling bad.

"And the girlfriend's name always comes first " Hyun Seo murmured which they all heard loud and clear but chose to ignore him.

"I know son" his mother said as she took her seat beside her son once again.

"But I will only leave after you blow the candles and cut the cake" Tae Jin smiled, staring at his mother, "You know, after all these years, this will be the first time I'll cut a cake with you"

True. God knew how long he has been waiting for this day. The day hell finally celebrate his birthday together with his mom.

"I agree, let's cut the cake before you leave "

"Great" his mother said with a smile.

Smiling, Tae Jin took the knife used to cut cakes which was right in front of him.

"Happy Birthday To You"

"Happy Birthday To You" and they sung him the birthday song.

When the song ended, Hyun Seo yelled, "Blow the candles and make a wish. Or, do you make a wish before you blow the candles?" He asked stupidly and they smiled.

Which one was it? He was confuse over here.

"Sure" Tae Jin said before closing his eyes to make his wish.

'I wish to spend more time with hyung before he crosses over' that was his wish before he blew the candles and they all clapped together.

And then, he proceeded to cut the cake. His mother held his hand and he smiled at her, then Shin Hye also held his hand.

But this time, he was taking by surprised.

She smiled, asking

"Why do you look so surprised? We always cut the cake together every year" Why was he surprised? This wasn't something to be surprised about.

It has happened before.

Right

He was surprised because when he was about to cut the cake, he imagined his mother will held his hand and the next person (Who will hold his hand) will be his Hyung.

He was taken by surprised when Shin Hye did instead of Hae Jin.

It was all his imagination (About to cut the cake together with his mother and his Hyung)

*Sigh, he really was stupid.

"Is nothing" he answered with a smile and they proceed to cut the cake.

A piece cut, his mother fed him, then his girlfriend and his friends did so as well.

He then returned the favor, feeding them as well.

Done!

Hee Young announced.

"Okay, now I have to go. There's food in the fridge. I made all your favorites. You guys can eat to your heart's content"

"Sure mom"

"Thank you auntie" Shin Hye, Se Jong and Hyun Seo responded.

"There's no need to thank me. You kids make sure you sleep early. I'll be back tomorrow morning" Hee Young said as she stood up, taking her bag from the couch (Which they didn't even know was there all along)

She was just about to take her leave when she remembered something.

"Oh, right, Tae Jin, your birthday present is in my room. All the preparations has been made"

"What preparations?" Tae Jin asked, confuse and curious.

"Yes, what preparations?" Hyun Seo asked, curious as well.

"You're just so nosy aren't?" Se Jong said, smacking Hyun Seo on the head upside down.

"Hey! That hurt" He said, glaring at his direction. Se Jong didn't look bothered as he looked at him an amused smile playing on his lips.

"And it would have hurt more if I had a big stick. As big as your head"

"Yes, that would have really hurt because my head is gigantic"

"Stupid " Se Jong said with a smile, shaking his head.

"Right, auntie, what preparations are you talking about?" Hyun Seo asked again. This guy just doesn't know when to stop. He always wants to get an answer to every question he asks. 

He should also apply this to his studies as well!

"Yes. Tae Jin"

"Yes mom"

"You see, I see the friendship you have with your friends and am reminded of my old days" Hee Young said with a sad smile, taking a seat on the couch.

'Wasn't she in a hurry to leave?' Hyun Seo thought, confused.

"We.....we...... " Hee Young began but just couldn't bring herself to say anything. Everything! Every good and horrible memory was coming back to her.

She just can't talk about it.

"We were very good friends" she decided to go with this. What happened...... She didn't want to talk about it. She never want to talk about it ever again. She and Tae Jin's father agreed on this.

"Anyway, you wanted to live in the same house together with your friends right?"

"Yes mom, but that was before " He was 8 when he suggested this. And that was only because he wanted to come back. He believed his mother didn't want to live with him and so, he suggested he come back and live with his friends in the same house.

Thought his mother would agree (For him to come back) but she didn't.

"I was a kid" And he was wrong as well. His mother did want to live with him. However, she was going through something and she believe she won't be able to take care of him. That's why she never agreed for him to come back to her side.

He found out this after sometime (When he was still living in the state) and he did not blame her. He only blame one person.

His father.

"I don't want to leave you now"

"The place is close to your school. Going to school from here takes about an hour or so. Which is very bad. You're late always. Is convenient attending school from there. It only takes 30minutes or so. And.... You're not renting to waste money. Go there, live with your friends" 

She decided this because it will help her son while he's schooling. It can also help him to learn more about his good friends, (Whom he has part from for years) strengthen their friendship.

And there was another reason, she needed someone to take care of the house.

"Mom" Tae Jin got up, facing her mother. About to object the idea, his mother cut him off.

"Se Jong, you rent an apartment nearby right?"

"Huh....., Yes, auntie"

"Is a waste of money. You guys should move in together "

"Mom!"

"Yes, I love that idea" Tae Jin turned to Shin Hye's direction glaring fiercely at her.

"What's to love about this idea! I'm not leaving my mother alone" and Shin Hye shut up, looking down and regretting ever speaking.

Tae Jin looked so scary.

"Fine, is a bad idea" She murmured even though she didn't think so.

"Mom" Tae Jin turned to his mother's direction but she was there. She was already on her way out. Furious and frustrated, he turned to the direction of the entrance front door where he witnessed his mother leaving. Following behind, "Mom!" he yelled.

"The address is on a piece of paper in my room. Make sure you get it and prepare to clean up" was all his mom said before she left, closing the door on his face.

"Mom!!!" He yelled out and the sound of the toilet being flushed sounded out from the bathroom which was two steps opposite him.

Surprised,

He immediately turned to the bathroom right when the door opened, revealing a woman.

"What was all that noise about?"

She asked as she looked at Shin Hye, Hyun Seo and Se Jong who watched her in shock.

They totally forgot about her!!

The beautiful woman seemed to be in her early 30s. She had long dark-black hair and beautiful green eyes. Slim and average height.

"Sorry, I was running. I think I ate something bad" she said, not noticing the weird atmosphere.

She turned to her right side right where Tae Jin stood as she said, "I think I have dia......."

And she froze in place when she saw Tae Jin. Shock out if her mind. What the heck was she seeing?

"Who is she?" Tae Jin asked angrily.
