Tristan Pov

"How dare he treat me like I'm less of a man! I care for my mother." I shouted out loud at Emma.

I was really upset. I sat on the stairs with my hands on my face. I looked at Emma then closed my eyes to think.

''Tristan please calm down. Let us go to your mother now and talk to her. We can all figure out something that doesn't involve Clarke." Emma told me as she rubbed my back.

I got up and pulled her in for a hug then I kissed her on her forehead.

I grabbed my key for my car. Emma opened the front door and we both left the house. On the way to my mother's house, I couldn't stop thinking about what Clarke said. I should have been there with mum but I wanted to be here with Emma.

I had to come up with something that doesn't separate me from my mum or Emma.

Emma may have seemed calm but I knew she was upset. I saw that her face looked a bit sad. I didn't want to be away from her.

Emma Pov I felt like the days passed by really quickly. One minute we were home, the next we were at school then we were wondering how to get by without having to deal with our problems. All I wanted this year was to be happy with my friends, fall in love with a cute boy and party the hell out of my high school days. I sat in the cafeteria staring at everyone. How did I get here? I kept asking myself that damn question. I wanted to be home in bed. I thought Tristan cared for me but it took one disagreement for him to walk out. He left, to God knows where never came back or called me. I thought his tantrums would have eased up when we made things official but I thought wrong. I couldn't even eat my lunch. I got up and walked straight out of school. Ditching one day couldn't hurt. My test results were great so I had nothing to worry about. I decided to go see Crissy at the hospital. I needed to talk to a friend

Emma Pov Five days later, I was standing in front of the mirror wearing a black dress, black heels and white pearls. Crissy liked pearls, she said to me once that pearls made the simplest things look elegant. I wore a blue ribbon on my hand because that was her favourite colour. I wanted something to remind me that she was with me. I stared at myself in that mirror as I reminisced everything about Crissy. "Emma honey, are you alright?" My mum asked, startling me. "Yes, I'll be fine. It hurts but I'll be okay." I turned around to look at her. "Come, your dad and Tristan are downstairs waiting for you." She said as she held her hand out to escort me. I really did not want to see Tristan. He left me, then he so happened to come back the exact same day Crissy died? I haven't spoken to him since I left the hospital. I came home that day and cried myself to sleep. He came home an hour later drunk. He tried to ask

Tristan Pov During the funeral, I tried my hardest to keep my cool. Crissy was gone and there was nothing I could do about it. Life sucked for most of us. Receiving the keychain from Crissy's mum was touching. I was glad I got something to hold onto. Dealing with my mother's issue and having to deal with Crissy's death took a toll on me, but I was still here. I was basically hanging by a thread. When I left Emma, I had a lot of time to process everything. I decided to support my mother's decision on her love life and I had also decided to tell Emma how I really felt. I told Emma I had to stop somewhere for some stuff. The place was my mother's house. I parked onto the driveway and as I opened the door to come out Emma pulled my suit. "Why are we here? Did you speak to your mum about the issue?" She asked. "Um, yes I did. I spoke to her yesterday, everything is okay now. Still a bit awkward, but I'll manage." I to

Emma Pov I woke up to the warmth of the morning sun on my cheek. I smiled with glee as I remembered the fun Tristan and I had. I sat up and placed my chin on my knees, I closed my eyes and I could still feel his lips on mines. I really hoped we stayed happy. Scanning the area I realized most of our stuff was gone and so was Tristan. I guessed that he got up early and started packing. I got up and rolled up my sleeping bag to carry it back to the car. I stumbled upon a brown rabbit on the way back, it was absolutely adorable. I love rabbits they're such precious creatures. Reaching closer to the car I saw Tristan, I paused for a minute to stare at him. "Hey beautiful, see something you like over here?" Tristan asked me as he closed the trunk of his car. He caught me staring. I thought I had at least two minutes to stare at him. I giggled, "It's not easy to sneak up on you huh?"

Emma Pov I sat in the living room as I waited for my parents to come home to take us for brunch. I was searching through the net for tattoo ideas. I was thinking about taking one for a while. Tristan was next to me, also searching through the net for tattoo ideas which was a coincidence. He couldn't see my phone because I held it away from him, but I saw his own. He already has a million tattoos so it would be weird asking him why he was looking at them. I didn't want to tell him yet that I wanted to do one. I was waiting till the next day to let him know. I was thinking of getting something that tributes to Crissy. I just didn't know what. I heard the door opening and as I looked I saw my mum. "Hey, guys y'all ready to go?" She asked peaking her head inside. "Yes, mum. We've been ready." I giggled. We left the house then got into the backseat of my father's vehicle. "Hey, Tristan which college ar

Emma Pov I was back at school walking the hallways. I looked around at all the other girls with their friends, how they laughed with each other. They looked happy and I was most definitely bothered by it. I no longer had my best friend to laugh and be happy with, wear matching clothes and comb each other hair. I felt alone. "Hey Emma, that outfit is really cute," Mandy said as she walked up to me with two other girls from the cheer team. I was stunned that she was talking to me and even complimenting me. She's so fake, she probably pitied me because of Crissy's passing. I tried not to roll my eyes at her because I really wanted to join the stupid team. "Uh thanks, Mandy. You look absolutely gorge yourself." I told her. " Thank you, I know. Look I'm really sorry about what happened to Crissy I know the two of you were best friends. I came to ask you to join the team. It should take your mind off the stress." She said soundi

Emma Pov "Hello, earth to Emma? Did you hear what I said?" Tristan asked. I shook my head stopping myself from gazing. "Uh um, that's Carter. He's new here." I managed to say to him. "What did the new kid have to say to you?" He asked. "Why you're sounding like that? I'm approachable you know." I replied gasping. "I never said you weren't. He just looked a bit too comfortable standing close up under my girl." He said holding my hand. "Is that jealousy I hear? Tristan is jealous of the new guy?" I asked looking astonished. "Haha. I'm not jealous. Let me know what his deal is so I can let him know what's up." "Tristan please don't go and cause trouble. He's only here to earn a scholarship. Leave him be." I told him as I started walking to my other class. "Fine, I'll leave him be. Once he keeps his dirty hands to himself." Tristan said as he walked beside me. &nbs

Emma Pov "What is wrong with you?" Tristan asked aggressively. "What? I only said what I said to hurt Clarke." I told him propping my hands under my chin. "You're not hurting Clarke. You're hurting my mother Em." He said gritting his teeth. "Look I'm sorry, but seeing him is triggering. I can't help but make him miserable. I really thought I was fine with this situation but this shit is too weird to handle like a normal person." I told him. "You can't say things like that because you feel triggered, Emma. At the end of the day, she is my mother and you can't be disrespectful in any type of way. Please try to understand that." Tristan told me calming himself down. "I said I was sorry okay, relax. I'm too drunk for this." I told him standing up. "Emma! Listen to me I don't want you doing that again. Take me seriously." He said. "Well excuse me! Okay daddy I'll listen to whatever you say." I told him in a mo

Tristan PovI paced my Uncle's office as I tried formulating a plan to get Emma back to me.It had been months since that fucking fool came up to me at my mum's New Year's Eve party. Demanding that he fucking wanted Emma. It played in my mind over and over again. "You there, you seem like a good fellow," Nicholas walked up to me as I stood outside admiring Emma on the dance floor.I raised a brow, wondering who the hell he was. "I'm going to tell you this as nicely as I could and only say this once. You are going to leave Emma. She is mine now." The tall, slender but bulked-up man stated with a lot of fucking confidence. My nose flared up and my body started boiling. What the fuck was he blabbering about. "Who the fuck are you calling yours, like hell imma give you my girl!" I sized him up, he was only about two inches taller than me."You don't have a good ear, I said I'll only say this once," He lifted his shirt to the right, revealing a silver Glock-45 gun stuck at the side of hi

Emma PovEarly the next day Mrs Daniel delivered a message along with a fresh pair of flats, denim jeans and a black hoodie per my request I made the night before. Nicholas had suggested that we have breakfast before we departed.I brushed my hair into a messy curly pony, whatever that is, and then left the room looking at my ass for the final time.Descending the stairs Nicholas stood at the bottom with his phone to his ear."I got the report so I am aware of what took place. That matter would be gone before the day finishes. You know my tolerance for bullshit is low. I have a separate, delicate matter to deal with." He looked up at me with a grin and hung up the phone."Even in the most casual wear, you look flawless. I take it you slept well, I did give you a fantastic night?"I wanted to say something witty but he was right. I did, had a fantastic night even replaying what happened had me drooling. That grey sweatsuit was not helping either.I smiled at him as he stretched out his

Tonight I met up with an important client who wanted to do business with me but he happened to have traitors amongst his men. Well it may seem that way, I'm having my men get information for me." Mr Moretti explained. "I should be shocked to hear all of this but I'm not. My rollercoaster of life won't let me be this gullible." I sighed. We entered a large white glistening room filled with luxurious cars. "I'm giving you the Range, which should not be too flashy." He opened a glass cabinet on the wall took out a key and handed it to me."You're casually giving me a Range Rover like it's nothing, okay? Welcome to my life." Emma Pov My laptop stared back at me as I sat by the kitchen's island waiting for my college admission. Finally, I had time away from school life until I entered College, at least. For some reason, I was not excited about going to college. There wasn't anything to look forward to anymore. My nerves were wrecked by my uncertainty. Mum and Dad stood beside me as the first email came in, I started reading," Congratulations! Ms Emma Johnson," was all I read before my mum started screaming at the top of her voice with excitement. I would have done the same if I had been excited myself. I mean I got into Yale, and I should have been excited but instead, I kept reading. I read about four emails that morning and got accepted at Duke, York and Stanford. Yay me, I guess. I zoned out as my parents congratulated me with hugs. How was I going to tell them that I didn't even know which one to go to anymore? That I no longer have any intention of pursuing the future I wanted? I told my parents t

Emma Pov I sat on my couch with a glass of wine, from the bottle Mr Moretti gave me, in my right hand and my phone in my left. The wine tasted divine and I wanted more. Wine has been a go-to since my life was now a rollercoaster. Two weeks had passed since Victoria made me her girlfriend. I bought at least three bottles of wine that I drank in between Mr Moretti's because I did not want it to finish in one gulp. The relationship between Victoria and I was not clicking as I thought it would. One kiss and I was head over heels for her. That question kept coming up, what was wrong with me? I missed Tristan, my heart ached for him. Everything happened so suddenly, one minute I was in love the next I was drooling in tears and then I was kissing my female friend. I wanted a step back from the choices I made recently so I told Victoria I needed some time to rethink our relationship, if it was truly one. She said she understood and left me to myself. Scrolling through I*******m I noticed

Emma Pov Nervously walking to the front of the crowd, I shook the hands of my team members. My head was spinning, my heart pondered. Why on earth would she pick me? Now it looked like she was pitying me. Everyone knew that Tristan and I had broken up and that he was now with his ex-girlfriend. Was she being genuine or is this a set-up? How could I trust her? I knew that the previous day I had said I would still be friends with her but now I was having second thoughts. I put on a smile and tried my best to thank her without looking like I was going to hit her. Everyone was happy with the decision, and no one looked disappointed at all. Which made me think that I was overreacting. Practice ended early in honour of my selection as captain. "Fuck!" I hit the inside of the girl's bathroom stall, with my butt planted on the closed toilet seat. I needed to calm myself down. My thoughts were only on Megan and the true reason behind her decision to put me as captain. I quickly came out o

Emma Pov Her lips on mine felt weird, but I couldn't find the strength to pull away from her. I gripped gently onto her hair while she slid her hand slowly, up my dress, cupping my ass. It was at that moment I jumped back to reality, "Woah, Um, this is different," I said as I pulled away. "Yes, I'm sure this is not what you were expecting from me but um, did you like it though? How do uhh, my lips taste on yours?" She asked smiling confidently. "It was surprisingly, good but I don't know how I feel about doing it again, it was intriguing," I told her backing away from her, a little. My heart was still pounding and my panties felt wet. What the heck was happening? I've never kissed a girl before and to be honest I think that I liked it. "I'm sorry if I startled you a bit. I've had you on my mind for quite some time and it has been the absolute worst seeing you go back and forth with Tristan, knowing that I was right here to treat you right. It's been hard controlling my urges and

Emma POV I arrived at the party at approximately seven at night. I thought the party would have a few people at that time because it was supposed to start at six but It had a lot of people when I got there. All the boys wore black clothing and the girls wore white dresses. Everyone looked excellent in their outfits. The one that stole the show was Victoria, she looked amazing with her blonde hair out with long curls and her white mini-frilled dress fit perfectly. On my way in I greeted everyone that I knew. All eyes were on me. I looked great but my anxiety wouldn't let the feeling last long. I finally made my way to meet the star of the night, Victoria. "You look fantastic, girl, that outfit is sexy as fuck." I hyped her up. "Thank you Em, you're the best. You look damn fine yourself. I need to dance right now, so I'm going to look for someone to dance with until my boyfriend gets here. Thanks again, for helping set up, I don't know what I'll do without you. Have fun and enjoy

  • He's My First   Chapter Forty-Two

Emma POV A lot has happened since I started high school. I was an innocent, shy confused girl but I had matured. I was flourishing, thriving and most important I was happy. Apart from Tristan's despicable behaviour on New Year's Eve, I had forgiven him for it, I didn't forget though, I was still angry and upset but I loved him and I wasn't sure what to do. Months had passed and all I did was put on a show for the world to see. It felt like I was pretending to be happy with Tristan and I couldn't shake off the feeling. In the final year, I started becoming more popular being a cheerleader, Tristan's girlfriend and being at the top of my class. I even started writing a story about the life of cheerleaders and I sent it to a publishing company and they loved it. News spread about it like wildfire around the school. I went to all of Tristan's games and I supported my friends in every fundraiser they had, so they could raise money for college. I had a memorial party in honour of Crissy,
