The howling wind rattled the windowpanes in the bitter, damp night outside. I twisted and turned under my thin covers. My teeth chattered in the chilly air around me. I couldn't sleep. My sweat dripped down my forehead, and my heart was thumping hard against my chest. I was always afraid of the dark, and I still am. Rubbing my eyes sleepily, I slipped out of bed and yawned continuously before stuffing my feet into my fuzzy slippers and making my way to the bathroom.I pushed the bathroom door open, and standing in front of the mirror, I picked up my toothbrush and placed a sizeable amount of paste on it. I managed to brush my teeth sleepily before slipping my pajamas off my body and covering myself with a bathing robe. I got myself into the shower only to be made wide awake by the quick rush of cold water that came out upon my turning the shower on.I used my favorite lemon bathing spa, and with my sponge, I made a foam and scooped it all through my body except my face. I jumped out of bed and rushed to the bathroom, quickly brushing my teeth and washing my face. I barely had time to splash some water on my face to wake myself up.I ran to my closet, grabbing the first outfit I saw and quickly getting dressed.
