Damon King

" Because I hate you," I gritted my teeth with a fake smile. I didn't realise in what position we were in until the calming silence evolved around us. Our faces were so close to each other like yesterday but there was this slim space between our noses from touching each other. Within seconds the calmness around us vanished and was swapped with heat. Ria was an epitome of surprise and challenge because her action caught me off guard. Her small palms caught the backside of my head and pulled me downwards. Her face in the crook of my neck with her breath burning my neck. A shiver ran down my spine with her simple actions.

" That's good because I don't love," she whispered coldly.

Shouldn't this be something that I should say? She can't switch roles! Someone as innocent as her can't say something like this. Slowly her hands released my neck as I pushed myself off her reluctantly. The edges of disappointment hearing her were completely switched with disgust and anger. I shot he

I slammed the door shut and made her lean on it with my big frame towering her figure." Get the hell away from me," she yelled and slapped me hard. The big tears were brimming in the corner of her drugging orbs. She looked hurt, and mostly disgusted. Her demeanour changed into the finest form of boiling rage when they met my gaze. The humiliation dawned at my nerve ending.Anger surged through my veins as I scrutinised my look at her trembling form. My left arm locked her arms and with my other arm I clashed her body to mine."Why are you acting up with me, when he was the one who should be slapped?!" I gritted my teeth. No woman nor

Arianna Reynolds"Noah? What are you doing here?" I asked him, surprised and he looked ghosted when he saw me at the doorstep."Ar-Arianna? What a surprise?" he spoke with a smile.A forced one? I shrugged the thoughts briskly."The feeling is mutual, Noah. The purpose of my visit was to check on Anna. Is Anna here?" I replied calmly, and entered through the main door as he gave room for me to walk in."Anna? Right, Anna. She didn't know that you would come, isn't it?" He chuntered with a nervous smile painting his face."Where is she ---- my words were cut off when I heard Anna screech," Ari! " He is our senior and you do know him. But do me a favour, don't ask me who he is right now. Will let you know when I ball up and confess it to him. For now it isn't serious," she ranted." Why were you acting up in the past week ?""He is my brother's best friend. So I'm kinda worried how it would end,"she confessed with her lowered eyes."Hold on! Kindly tell me who are his friends? I have no clue about them," I queried, perplexed." I- yo--- her sentence was hanging in the air because Levi banged her door with his obnoxious yell," We don't have all day, Anna. It's not your date night with your college sweetheart. Get out soon.""I'll be back!" she exclaimed before she ran inside the washroom. I sighed, and reclined back onto the chair. Something had been messing with Anna lately and that seems clear as day.

NarrationWhat can go wrong after I avoid her like plaque? Or in other words, after punishing myself for ever thinking of her? These thoughts were running like a marathon inside his head. He focussed on music to relieve his stress but in heavens, he couldn't get it out with her. She was deeply anchored in the depth sea of his dreams. Dreams of the night when he held her in his arms for the first time. The pull he felt with her was arduous and fervent that he woke in the middle of the night craving for her scent to surround him. Just to hug her to sleep. She was the odds that ever existed in his life. Choices that would be left hanging if he were to choose. The wildest phantom of his mind was Arianna. Reaching her shade was a path that was never existing in the first place. She was the sky and he was one among the dreamers yearning to see the deep secrets of the dark, mysterious, dangerous, and vastness of the sky that was withheld. The girl made him lose his head in a labyrinth of emo

Narration"Cheers Anna!" they all replied in chorus. Waving her hands to the boys she walked back to her seat. Arianna was engrossed in her phone. Sensing the seat that was occupied next to her, Arianna looked up at her and smiled."You should do all your business at home Anna. You are not a kid anymore. Wandering for toilets when we go out. I was about murder the girls for being too loud" Arianna grunted to Anna."I missed you too!" Anna bluffed, side-hugging her best friend. Anna gave her a cheesy snake in return making Arianna shake her head."When will the boys start?!" Arianna queried looking at the now-empty stage. Many techies were roaming. The stage had 4 mics and many cameras rolling. The girls were chatting about the boy's name. It was never-ending.

Damon KingI was pacing backstage with my pounding heart. Why the fyxk are you excited, sick fella?! Why are you excited about the arrogant toddler's visit? Calm down you idiot," I yelled at my heart. He was the inconsiderate badass who never paid heed to my words when Ria passed his sight. He has the slightest respect for my playboy fame. Always warmed and a pussy for Ria's eyes. Fuxking hell! Why am I talking like she is my special girl?Okay, she is a sort of way. But not in a special way, I convinced myself...Did she enjoy my concert? Was it good? Oh my! Was sweating all day? Did I mess up my look? I questioned myself. Walking to the mirror I took a quick look at myself. Sure, not a special girl indeed. I heard Noah mock me. My eyes widened when I witnessed his frame leaning onto the threshold looking at one with his infamous coy smirk. I mentally thrashed my stupid self for talking out loud. Now that he heard all my craziness he won't stop it till I bury him 6 feet. "Why are y

Noah's words were running in a loop. The entire stadium was in a frenzy and here I am fussing over her disappearance. Does this girl care about us?Shut the fuxk up Damon. You pushed her away, my heart barked.Searching for her in the parking space I found her car. Even in my sleep, I can tell her car number. It was her favourite black Porsche. Well, my troublemaker was missing. Releasing a harsh breath I walked into the arena again. The abrupt wind gushing at me made me stop. It was from the woods at the backside of the parking space. It reminded me of meeting her in the garden that night. She loves calm and breezy places. I ran towards the woods praying for her safety.I saw her sitting on a log with her gaze serious on the soil. Her hands mas

Arianna Reynolds"What do you think I am?" I asked him looking into his eyes where there was havoc of emotions. They were disturbed into something deep and questioning from their usual cold integrity."Trying to charm the player himself?" Damon asked me coyly with his wolfish grin. My eyes hurtle his facial features and expression at my random words. The arrogant guy who has never dared to break eye contact had his eyes shivering to look at me at a close distance. His drumming heart was conveying the effect of my looming closeness."Why will I when the player has already fallen for my charms?" I smirked back looking straight into his eyes. I saw him visibly suck in a breath and look at me as if I was a ghost. His steely, thunderous grey orbs were etching my features un

Arianna WilsonI found myself staring at the most exotic view of the city. A private spot with a balcony. My breath hitched at the sight of the most beautiful romantic date set-up and extravagance oozing at its best. The city lights and the shimmering stars were competing with each other to outshine the other. The brush of wind was an old melody with a luring chorus of romance. "Why are we here?" I mused lost in thoughts of the emerging fondness and solace. I felt calmness takeover my chaotic head and soothe my inner turmoil. "I'm starving, Ria." He drawled lazily before dragging me to the dinner set-up. I gawked at him unlady-like when he pulled my seat acting so gentlemanly. What was wrong with him? Oh, the fake dating deal! Is he taking his practice sessions now? Everything in me screamed against my stupid ministrations of taking up the seat he offered. I was not Arianna Wilson but Damon King's Spooked Ragdoll right now. I curiously followed

Arianna WilsonMy grandparents hated me because my dad got married to my mum, a girl of not their choice. My mum was a kindergarten teacher and my dad happened to see her one fine day. They fell in love soon after. A modern Cinderella story was all it is and even after all these years, they couldn't accept me or my mum. According to my grandparents, Arianna Wilson was the sinister younger sister trying to take away all the goodness of their worldly treasure Elena Wilson. Fucking foot!I hate them so badly. They plotted anything and everything to ruin my parent's wedding from the start. And now they plot to exploit my dad's love for them by backbiting about their grandchildren. It was fucking crazy but what not? I was living the fairytale life but my life sucked to have no shoulders to lay my head on when I needed them. Not even Anna knew my past nor anybody. I don't trust anybody enough. I just couldn't. "Elena, you are the most b

  • He Knew She Was Trouble When She Walked In   Chapter 44

Arianna Reynolds"Elena?" A gruff male voice interrupted our conversation. Should I say, Damon taunting the life out of Elena's session was coming to a halt to my dismay? She seemed relieved to look at the male who was 6 ft 1 inches in height and well defined muscles contorting his tux. The guy looked roughly in his mid-thirties and an awfully familiar face. His eyes were deep embers and his jaw was straight cut. He held a wine glass in his hand and looked at us with surprise. An impressive male specimen with brown hair but he would be considered average when you put the picture beside Damon. Boy, he was heartless goodies poured into a suit to twist and turn the sanity of women kind. Why the hell am I comparing this guy with him? "Baby," Elena's voice broke my thoughts and I stepped into reality with my guts waiting to heave it all over her face. Why does she have that fake-innocent and mostly viper-like voice that makes me gag every time she talks to any male? Throwing me a nasty l

  • He Knew She Was Trouble When She Walked In   Chapter 43

Arianna WilsonHe walked away with his tensed shoulders and stood in a distance where the noise was less. I can see his silhouette in the darkness throwing some random orders to a probably fine stranger who had to bear his temper tantrums. "Please." A desperate plea. Why was he desperate for a girlfriend? He can get any girl he wants in a snap of his fingers. Hell, he gets them even now. But why me? Hot blood suffused my cheeks as I recalled his words. The blotching red on my face would make  Damon doubt I was brutally slapped or punched by the time he was away. It was turning hot and I dabbed my cheeks to calm the freaking hormones. It's not like we are a thing. It's a fake arrangement.Wait, why does he need a fake deal?He never had a girlfriend in the times of his jock history or before. So it's utterly impossible to get back with his ex. At least he wasn't using me to get back with

Arianna Wilson"I'm sorry for that but trust me you need to help me with this. I need to get away with this tonight." Skillfully cloaking his distress under a romantic smile, he made a show as if he was engaged in a romantic conversation with his high school sweetheart which was certainly-not-certainly me."You are sick in your head!" The furious words glided like silk on a loop. So soft and fragile. Why was I carrying on the pretext when it's the least I ever wanted?"It's complicated. Just be my fake date. I'll explain when we are alone. Almost every eye is piercing us, Ria." He tugged at me into a whirl before I landed right back into his arms. • He Knew She Was Trouble When She Walked In   Chapter 41

Arianna WilsonWe continued our walk with minimal touch with each other but his hands traced mine in an occasional mellow rub. A soul-shattering howl of the dogs crippled my nerves into a tense bundle and I was jittery all the way to the alley. A night alley walk with an arrogant git and ferocious dogs howling nearby was a pet peeve at this point. The merciless winter breeze was slamming at me in sheer mockery for agreeing to the damn ride. A jolt of electricity rippled my body when he offered me a loop-sided grin before his calloused palms wrapped around my small wrist. Burns settled bone deep with his touch and I wasn't sure I was trembling because of the winds anymore. Reality dawned on me when he dragged us through a backdoor of what looked unholy and alarming. We continued until I came face to face with the booming music blasting my ears. The place was hardly lit and he dragged me with him canopied in his arms.

  • He Knew She Was Trouble When She Walked In   Chapter 40

Arianna Wilson7.59 p.m."I'm waiting outside." I read the text and sighed in vexation before picking up my black leather jacket and pairing it with my high-neck blouse and black fitted jeans. I was mentally exhausted with so much drama for the day and to garnish my mess to its horrendous form Damon has to add his crap in by forcing me to go out with him. If he was forcing me, why am I not resisting to my fullest? I sighed when I saw my unread text by Anna. That girl was driving me nuts with her abrupt stillness from my life. Picking up my backpack and phone I exited through the main door before locking it. I was staying in my condo since the whole damn mansion was so scary and burdening without my family. They were on a trip to Europe and I was comfortable staying in my condo all alone. I took the lift and checked myself on the mirror in the elevator before I gave a mild touch-up.I exited after the click sound of the lift and waltzed into the lobby with a couple of eyes sweeping u

  • He Knew She Was Trouble When She Walked In   Chapter 39

NarrationAnna espied Arianna's car that exited the mighty campus. She could tell something was off with her best friend but couldn't find in herself to come forward and comfort her when she was drowning in a hell hole every time she saw them together. Every time she saw Arianna and Damon together she was losing her love for Arianna. Arianna was someone she could never bear losing but looking at Damon's eyes always trailing her best friend in such a way he had never done with any girl and how her emotions affect him so badly rusted the bond she shared with Arianna. The sheet clasped between her palms reached the ground. They weren't in good form when they hit the ground and rather had met a crushing meet in her hands. Hurriedly she wiped her tears before the crowd could notice and evade the murmuring swarm of curious students. _________________________Princess? • He Knew She Was Trouble When She Walked In   Chapter 38

Arianna ReynoldsThe drive back to university was twisting my nerves. No more exchanges between us and the tension were palpable in the air. Albeit my head was lost and there was a stinging pang in my chest I still carried my pretence of being engrossed in my phone. Trust me it was very hard to carry out the stupid charade with Damon to have his gaze wander over me now and then. "Ria?" I heard him whisper my name with uncertainty. Instead of looking at him I looked out the window and found myself staring at the majestic parking of my university. Choosing not to answer him I gripped my black backpack and unlocked his car to get down. Spinning on my legs I rushed towards my car to get away from there. My troubled heart was aching when I heard him confess my existence in his life. It was harsh and accusing. Thoughts like I should quit my project and hide away from his shadow crept into my head but before I could come up with a conclusion I was dragged into sturdy arms. My eyes widened
