Unspoken Desires

Mandy sat in Davis living room, her thoughts tangled and restless. The day had been long, and the whole event flashing through her memory. She glanced at Davis, who was busy typing away on his laptop. The silence between them was comfortable yet charged, filled with unspoken questions and lingering emotions.

Mandy immediately remember the conversation Davis had mentioned over the phone with a serious tone, back at Bella's house. It was a good time to ask.

“So, Davis,” Mandy began, breaking the silence. "you were trying to say something over the phone the other time—about Bella and Dwight?"

"Bella and Dwight? oh No!" Davis denied smoothly. "I wanted to keep you updated about the Wendel's, Ramsey's mum."

Mandy expression changed.“Yeah! About that investigation you mentioned… Ramsey’s mother—what did you find out?”

Davis paused, looking up from his screen. He hesitated for a moment, as if debating whether to tell her everything. “Ramsey’s mother is dead, Mandy,” he said quietly.
