The Hidden Truth

Mandy watched as Bella’s face drained of color, her hands trembling slightly. She could see the panic rising in her sister, the uncertainty taking hold. Bella was scared, and Mandy was going to use that to her advantage. For too long, Bella had played innocent, had pretended to be the victim. Now, it was time for her to feel a taste of the confusion Mandy had been trapped in for nights.

“I bet you’re surprised I know about all of this,” Mandy said, her voice calm, almost taunting. She leaned against the couch, crossing her arms over her chest as she studied Bella’s expression. “But that’s not the real shocker, is it? I’m sure you’re dying to know how much more I know and would do.”

Bella’s eyes widened, but she said nothing. Her mouth opened, but no words came out. The shock of the situation had rendered her speechless, but Mandy wasn’t done. Not by a long shot.

“I’ve got something to tell you, Bella,” Mandy continued, her voice dropping lower, the tension in the room thickening
