Chapter 22 Lame lie

ALPHA DERRICK'S POV

I had the intention of sending for her in the most discreet ways possible. Her reputation was equally as important to me as was anything. I was in my office, wondering how much longer it would take for those assistants to get me my items. I had given them randomly, lists of things to bring to me and with the promise of a positive evaluation.

I sat back, trying to focus on the quiz that I had given the students previously. A couple of scripts went through and I realized that I was already getting bored of all of this. I went over and picked up a magazine on the other side of the shelf, just to kill time but it was not working.

KNOCK.

It was the first assistant and he had successfully acquired his own bits of the list of ingredients. I commended his efforts as I showed him where to drop off his own items. I was tempted then to have him send for Clara.

"You're missing her, aren't you?" My wolf suddenly asked me.

"Does it bother you that I do?" I asked him.

"Not really
