“Well well well, isn’t this a pretty little wolf,” I whistled when they brought forward the wolf they managed to capture.
She was a spunky little thing, and as soon as I sensed her I knew she was a mix-breed. I growled when I felt her fairy side, but thankfully it was suppressed from what I could tell so I didn’t immediately rip her to shreds. The originals disgusted me and I’d done what I could to eliminate them from my world. This one had apparently stayed hidden but I was currently more curious how it was possible she was a wolf, since she was the first female wolf I knew of. I’d need answers to that before I slit her throat.
“Who was she with?” I asked my men who brought her in.
“Three other wolves. Two we couldn’t sense the auras of,” one of my generals told me.
“What about the one you could?&
I had an inkling who she was fighting and I was desperate to go help but there were 15 warriors surrounding them including one who was giving off an incredibly strong aura. I looked over to Codyn who was staring intently at the other end of the deck. My heart started racing when I saw what he was looking at. It was 4 people, huddled together, all bound and all bruised. Codyn was staring lovingly at Scarlyt, but my eyes locked on the man of the group who looked pissed beyond belief as he watched Vynetta fight. I had never seen my father so angry. We needed to get to them. I could tell from here that one of the women was not doing well and the other one was beside herself with worry over her. I looked through and saw some stairs near me, we would have to be silent, and we would have to be fast. I waited a beat to make sure everyone’s attention was on the fight and then I grabbed Codyn and we went up. We made it up and then we weaved through the door and into
He came at me fast and hard after that tackled me to the ground. My first thought was my neck, I needed to keep him away from ever being able to mark me so I used his weight against him and managed to wiggle enough to knee him in his groin. This was a distraction that allowed me to elbow him across the face and throw him off me with my legs. He landed a bit away from me and I was on my feet in a flash. He was getting more pissed each minute that went by. A few rounds of hand to hand later and he managed to get in a deep gash across my shoulder. I cried out in pain and grabbed it. The pain radiated through me and I slowly calmed my breathing and felt my hands tremble as I called on the rocks as steady and quickly as I could. Nature instantly answered my call and a small wall of pebbles formed and flew towards Kayden, knocking him off guard.Hand to hand was over. It was time to get serious. I could feel myself getting worn down and I knew he
{ Vynetta }Once I saw the small window I needed, I didn’t hesitate. I called on Juno and the Earth Goddess. I pulled all the power from Earth as I could, summoning it and demanding it obey. As an overwhelming amount of power came into me I felt my concealment shatter and my aura was released. I didn’t try to contain it anymore, they knew where I was and they needed to know who I was.I gathered all the power I could and I focused on one element I knew I could control extremely well. I felt the flames in my hands and I swirled them around each other creating a fireball between them. I hadn’t contained fire quite like this between my hands. I forced a small shield around it with wind to keep it from expanding beyond its shape and then I focused it on the man in front of me. I watched his movements and I took a step to the right, making sure everything was in line. A fireball of this magnitude was going to knock him clear acr
{ Gabryl }I thought I was hallucinating, I prayed I was imagining it. Oryn cannot be here, he cannot. Not only because of the secrets I was hiding from everyone in this cove but also because of the danger. He was my son, why was he here when we were being overrun and beaten down by the king and his soldiers.I shook my head remembering. How they found the entrance to the cave I have no idea. But once they were inside, they were silent and they were deadly. They came through and managed to navigate the twists and turns into the cove and as soon as I recognized their auras and where they were it was too late. There was far too many of them inside the cove and a fight would have assured my own death and left Kyda and Prym all alone. I couldn’t do it.I attempted to hide us but Prym told me it was useless and sat still at the table downstairs just waiting for them. I begged and I pleaded with her to let me conceal her
{ Oryn }Everything that she did was breathtaking. From the look on her face as she stood and faced the man who wanted to bring her to her knees and destroy everything she loves to the soft smile that graced her lips as the wind brought her away from the ground and towards its home in the sky. She was in all ways of the word a goddess, my goddess.I was so distracted by her beauty I didn’t notice the hurricane until it was basically gone. Left was a pile of wolves wrapped in a ring of fire, trembling before their queen. As I reached her hand she told me to release my aura and being the good mate I was, I did as I was told.I felt the wolves of the other men in the cove all submit to me immediately. Not only was my wolf powerful, he was Alpha and I could tell that just like Vynetta’s my aura was now royal. But none of this mattered because all I could focus on was my mate as she caught wind of my scent for the
{ Oryn }I wanted so desperately to be mad at him still, but I couldn’t anymore. I had been holding inside feelings of resentment, anger, betrayal, mistrust toward him for so many years that I could feel the way they ate at my soul more each day that went by. My wolf was more stubborn than me and not nearly as attached. I could still tell he held the grudge and he held it strong for every time I ever cried because of my father and I knew he always would at least a little.I watched my father to gauge his reaction as I finished speaking. He had shed a lot of truth in the last few moments and it turns out, weeks. He looked exhausted and defeated and in some ways, devastated. I watched his eyes brim with tears and his chest heave with sadness until he released the sob he was desperately trying to hold in. I saw Kyda reach for him on instinct and bring a hand to his head and run it through his hair.“My heart sti
Everyone gathered in the living room and almost all of us fell asleep on the chairs and couches as we talked. Now here we sat, a day of chaos behind us, a future of chaos in front of us, sipping coffee over bagels.“My biggest concern at the moment, is efficiently putting into effect the new orders and everything once we establish them. We have wolves scattered all over the world that we need to organize and only a few of us to do it. We either need more hands on deck or we need a plan for how we will do it swiftly and smoothly just us.”I could feel that the Moon Goddess was right when she told me that instincts would tell me how to lead, how to form world order. I had ideas flowing about a society, a world I knew nothing about yet there they were. She was guiding me and things were falling into place on my paper, they just needed to be translated into real life.“I think that it needs to be us, person
“I’m yours, Alpha.” I told him breathlessly. His eyes locked on mine and as if that was the password to the lock on his control he finally gave in. He leaned down and captured my lips in a kiss once again only this time it was passionate, it was needy. His tongue swept my lips and I didn’t hesitate to deepen the kiss, our tongues battling for dominance. He walked over and pushed my back into the wall. His hands began to roam my body, one finding it’s way onto my ass and the other onto the my back, working circles with his fingers that made me arch my back and moan into his mouth. I felt him smile against me, realizing he loved the reaction he was getting.I worked my hands over him the best I could without ripping his pants off. I ran my finger up his back and the other into his hair, gripping just enough as another moan rolled off of me. This sent shivers up his spine and produced a groan from him that told me
I didn’t even register the other 4 sisters screams echoing all around me. I focused only on his aura and on Mari’s. I closed myself off and followed them. He blipped with her to the hill across the field and then he was gone again, the next time I sensed him it was far enough way I couldn’t pin point his location and then just like that, he was gone. I shook my head and I could feel tears brewing under the surface but I swallowed them down.-She’s fine- Juno told me calmly and I focused on her voice.-Elaborate- I told her firmly.-We need to speak with an elder wolf from the area. There are two who are close still. Have Oryn call to them.- she said instead of answering my actual question.“Oryn,” I called out, still trying to push away the worried yells and words from the sisters around us.“Yes? Did he touch you? Are you alright?”
With one swift whirlwind I push Codyn out the of the way and the second I see the knife soar past his shoulder I simultaneously call on the Earth surrounding the man who threw the knife. Vines appear through the snow, despite the terrain and gasps come from the wolves surrounding him. Within just a few seconds vines have wrapped his legs and arms, making him completely immobile. I don’t let me guard down yet though, and I see that my mate has the same thought.Codyn is now standing defensively in front of Scarlyt who has her hands out, no doubt thinking she would have to once again heal her mate. Oryn moved faster than I even realized and was in the same stance as Codyn in front of me. I gently stepped to the side of him, but not in front of him and addressed the wolves.“We are not your enemy,” I boom out this time, using every ounce of my Authority.“We are not Kayden, we are not here to make yo
“I love you,” she said out loud as she kissed my jaw. “Baby, you are my everything,” I told her breathlessly. “I can’t imagine my life without you, I would still be so lost.” I moved inside her and she moaned at the sensation. I chuckled as I pulled myself out of her and got a towel to clean her. She laid there with one hand on her hip and the other above her head and I felt myself already getting hard again. I handed her a towel and she smiled to me, cleaning herself off. I watched her carefully and something occurred to me. “Baby, how do you feel about kids?” She glanced up at me and the sweetest smile grew on her face as she said, “I want them.” “Lots of them?” “I think so, yeah. I was an only child because that was the way our bloodline worked but that isn’t the case anymore so I’d love to have a house full of babies. Little us’s.” She giggled
{ Carolyn }I felt a rush of cold as I used the snow to disappear and go back to our cabin. My little snow portal settled to the ground around me and I shook off what remained. I looked ahead and really took in the cabin I called home. It’s logs were cut from the woods that surrounded us. My mother was an incredible woman. She was handy, sweet, she could cook up a storm in the kitchen and she somehow managed to raise five little witches all by herself. We all knew we were a handful, our powers grew each day yet she took it all in and managed to make us disciplined and precise, she taught us the value of our magic and the value of life around us. She told us often the story of Luna, her eyes always holding hope when she did of one day not having to hide, one day allowing us to live a free life.My heart was racing as I stepped closer and I was bombarded with sweet memories. Our life here was quiet and ca
{ Vynetta } As Oryn was shaking hands with the Elders I felt it. As quick as Juno and I registered it it was gone. An aura in the mountains near us. A man, a hybrid Juno said, but having only sensed it for a moment she struggled to determine his origin. He was an original without a doubt, he was also strong, and clearly hidden. I hadn’t sensed him during the meeting of all the wolves and he was already long gone by the feel of things. I stretched, searched, my eyes remaining closed as I forced out mine and Juno’s power as far as I could. I heard the sound of my mate’s voice but I was deep in concentration and couldn’t make out the words he said. Finally Juno heaved a deep sigh and assured me that the mysterious aura was in fact gone, leaving us with more questions than answers. I took a deep breath and opened my eyes to the sight of a very distraught mate. I felt a small smile on my face as I took my hands out and place
“I think your mate was a tad distracted and didn’t hear quite everything,” One of the elder wolves says. Well shit, I Wasn’t only busted by my mate this time either. I clear my throat as a small blush creeps up my neck but I shake it off. If there is anything I will always own up to its the way my mate affects me. “You would be right, I am easily enthralled by her beauty and her voice,” I admit to the elder wolf who gives me a sly smile. “I was telling them about how we are mostly done here….” Vynetta tells me softly, giving me the cue to pick up after that. That’s all I needed. “Yes, thank you all for your patience and your kindness again.” One of the wolves covers a laugh with a cough and now I’m positive that Vynetta already said that same thing so I continue while shaking it off, “We look forward to seeing all of you next week in your own territories with more good news. As of right now,
I immediately held out my hand and called out, “Scarlyt will you please come here.”She gently made her way through the crowd and after her first few steps they seemed to realize she was the one I was calling to and made a path for her. She crossed the snow giving a soft smile to her mate who sighed a breath of relief. I made a mental note to apologize to him for not calling her back to us sooner. She stood next to me and took my hand in hers. I felt the power of our pack work through us as she was my Mona. I turned my head back to the wolves in front of me and most had their eyes narrowed At Scarlyt trying to figure out why they sensed she was different.Release your aura, all of it. I told her in Mindlink. She did as she was told. Her aura held power, but it was not overwhelming in the least. What her aura held more than anything, was proof. And it washed over the wolves in one sweep an
{ Vynetta }The moment that my aura reached the furthest corner of the tundra and the wolves all boomed out respectfully I felt an insurmountable pride radiate from Juno within. Everything had been nothing short of chaos recently and while I knew who I was, and what was coming, this was the first time I ever felt like what I was, a queen. Looking over thousands of wolves who awaited the right words, the right orders was intimidating, but having my mate beside me lowered my anxiety greatly. His aura washed over me and his scent wrapped itself around me once again as my knees went weak, Goddess what that scent alone does to me. I watched him carefully as he nodded gratefully to the wolves to stand and then I gave him my full attention as I waited for him to address them as well.“My name is Oryn. I am a descendant of Tellus, and I am proud to stand before you today as the Alpha. I was like most of you. I was born dif
{ Oryn } I stand with Vynetta beside me as wolves funnel in and slowly fill up this icy cove-like area that we chose as the spot for this first meeting. We are positioned among the wolves, Vynetta looking like a simple family member of myself to the incoming wolves, a few of whom I notice also bring with them members of the family. Mostly men, but I spy a couple other women in the group as it grows larger. Codyn stands in front of everyone with a scowl etched on his face, his stance wide and his arms crossed as he radiates power. He is more powerful since he became Beta of our Pack, but we were able to work with him on suppressing this in his aura for these meetings. From where we and the wolves are standing, he looks like a pissed off and intimidating general for Kaydan’s army which is exactly what we were aiming for. There is a few silent minutes that go by when no more wolves are entering the area. I see Codyn n
