“You’re the only choice I made for myself.” Adrian was resting his head back on Natalie’s lap as she was reading a book. She ran her fingers into his hair lightly, as he had his eyes closed and relaxed completely. They were in her room today He sighed and opened his eyes to look at her, but she was immensely focused on the book in her hand. He realized the book was actually romantic fiction. He raised an eyebrow in surprise. He didn’t know Natalie read those books too. “I thought it was murders you were reading about” he commented shifting his head into a more comfortable position. Natalie shifted her gaze from the book to him. “I wonder why you would associate me with murders.” He chuckled at that, sure she didn’t murder anyone yet but damn sure knew how to. Natalie smiled and put the book away on the bedside table. Her other hand shifted to cup his face. “My aunt actually got my interest in these books.” He looked up at her, leaning into her touch. “She was the one who taught
“It was a flame, is how it began. But turned into a fire just by their breath.” Roman walked to his study angrily. Sitting down on his big luxurious chair, he started thinking about what to do. He wondered if this was all a part of Adrian’s plan to trap that girl and get them to reveal all their secrets. Adrian when setting his foot out if here was determined to do anything his father wished for, to destroy their enemy who killed his uncle, but on the other hand he couldn’t help but notice a few changes in his behavior too. He was not as keen about doing his missions as he was used to. The only few deals he even got there were actually not significant enough. But most importantly even if this was a part of his plan why wouldn’t he tell him? Why did he have to hide it? He knew better than to question his son. He could never tell if Adrian was lying or not, neither did he want to let him know he knew about this yet. He would wait for him to tell him. But maybe he might need to do som
“The reality made those dreams look like a joke.” Adrian felt his heart drop. He was away the whole day. Natalie tried to call him but he couldn’t pick it up and now he knew she wouldn’t call. “How did this happen? Why didn’t he fucking tell me?” Leonid grew silent. “I got to know that he just planned it yesterday. And that guy you sent back is dead.” Adrian was losing his mind. Why did he unexpectedly do this out of nowhere? What was Natalie thinking of him? He unexpectedly got some work today when this happened. Natalie tried to call him to talk but fuck. Now it was all a mess. There were a lot of questions running through his mind. Was this incident with Liam just to get him away from Natalie to cause some misunderstandings but his father didn’t know anything about this. And why was Marty dead? Did he know something? But most importantly was were was Natalie. How was she doing? Did she trust him enough to know he wasn’t involved in this? He took Leonid's phone to call her. H
"And sometimes she was just an angel with the most evil mind..." Natalie had just finished breakfast and was calling Thomas when suddenly Isaac came into her room breathless. “Dimitri got attacked. It just happened. The fight is still going. We are losing, no one was prepared” He spoke hurriedly out of breath. Natalie quickly got up, “We are going back now.” Her heart thumped against her chest. Her father was under attack, and Thomas was all there alone. She had to go back quickly. On the way, she made calls to get backups for Dimitri. She had prepared a special team for such emergency encounters. They were on their way to help Dimitri if they reached on time. “Isaac please make sure Thomas is in safe hands.” The ride back was the most excruciating pain she felt. She couldn’t do anything. She just had to wait and pray things to go their way somehow. “I’ve sent Thomas to our secret base. But no news came for Dimitri yet.” Natalie’s heart clenched in pain if something happened
"She was the devil in disguise..” Three days later. The plan was formed. Roman had formulated to attack the main mansion of Ivanov’s gang. If they kill them and win, it would ultimately make them the most dreaded. Another thing was that he knew that place would be loaded with money they could use for themselves. Roma could see the empire that Dimitri had built was crumbling away into pieces slowly. It was only a matter of time, as now that their leader was dead there was no one to hold them together anymore. Roman thought his victory was near now. He didn’t have to wait anymore. Tonight they had planned the attack. Roman was not planning to go with his men, but to stay in his car and watch them win. He was so sure of it. Adrian had told him about Natalie not being a gullible girl and what he thought of her but he seemed to have underestimated that. And Adrian was not going to warn him about it anymore. He was actually not sure if she would fight back or if she wouldn’t care, ca
As soon as Natalie walked away. Roman started his car and turned it around. He drove rashly to go back to his place. Adrian called Leonid but he was not picking up. He was worried that even if Natalie didn’t order her men to attack Leonid and Timofey. They still might, knowing the hate between them, Isaac would be too busy fighting that he wouldn’t care about anything else. And neither did they leave many guards there either who could protect them. When they in sight of the mansion, they could see the damage. Some of the guards passed out on the ground. Adrian quickly jumped out of the car, and Roman followed him in pursuit. Adrian dashed in, the doors were already broken down. He paused as he took in the scene in front of him. All the glass decors and luxurious furniture were thrashed inside. It was a complete mess but he didn’t care. All he wanted was to see Timofey and Leonid. He ran up the stairs to see where they were. He checked both Tim’s and Leonid’s rooms but they were
Roman walked into a room where all the important members were present. He had to shift to another one of his mansions because of the past incident. He wanted to destroy that gang for once and all now. Entering a room, he found them all around a table where some papers were laying on the ground. He stood in the center and they turned their attention to him nodding in respect. “What have you got so far?” They looked at each other and turned to Roman. “Sir there is not much yet. We can’t find many—” Roman raised his hand up in anger signaling them to stop. “Where is Adrian?” He asked looking around for him. And just then the door opened and he walked inside. He looked at the papers on the table with the most uninterested look, his hands tucked in his pockets. “Adrian. I want you to find all their weakness and plan for an attack.” Adrian nodded knowing exactly that he was going to lead them in the wrong direction. But then one of the men, Steven spoke up. “Sir I have something
“Never ever let go....” Adrian walked out of his room as he wore his cuff links. Today was an important day. There was a grand ball. In it, only the rich business and underworld mafia gangs would join. Both the businessmen and mafia leaders would get into deals with one another. They would help businessmen by giving them the power to eliminate competition and carry out other illegal business while the businessmen would help them by providing them with resources they need and covers too in some cases if they needed it. Adrian's black polished shoes clicked on the floor as he walked out to his car. If they had to win this they had to make better connections. Dimitri was known for his morals and intelligence while some doubted Roman's intentions. He was rather not a patient man, and his impatience could harm both him and them. Adrian however was well known and respected. Even some of his peers were now doing business they took over from their father. He was well respected among them.
“It was a love that was inevitable” 3 years later Natalie enters a club. Loud music was blasting and it was filled with the smell of alcohol and sweat. She walked further in the crowd to the VIP section. There she found the person she was looking for, surrounded by half-naked women dancing around him as he drank while looking at them with his lecherous gaze. Her jaw clenched looking at the audacity of this man, prancing around here with different women every night despite having a wife. She looked at the papers in her hand as her fist tightened around them before she walked over to him with a deadly gaze. The women were irritated by her coming in between them but after one look at her calm but deadly eyes they ran away. She saw how his eyes were filled with frustration because of this disruption, but he still didn't realize it was Natalie standing a few meters away. Natalie's anger rose further as she stood in front of him before throwing the papers on the table in front of him.
8 months later Natalie woke up groaning slightly, caressing her belly. She was near the due date now. Sighing she got up to go to the bathroom. After she was done showering she wore a white summer dress. Getting out of the bathroom she saw Adrian sitting on the bed waiting for her. He immediately got up and walked to her to kiss her forehead. Natalie smiled lightly but she had a slight headache along with back pain and not to mention how her feet were killing her. Adrian saw right through that tight smile knowing she must be in some pain and helped her sit on the bed. He brought a tray forward which had all her favorite food. Natalie didn't really have any weird cravings but she craved crazily for chocolates and cheese. Not together though. Natalie smiled lightly at the food in front of her, knowing Adrian cooked it all. He didn't trust any maid to cook for her. He would stay at home most of the time for her and cook instead, sometimes Dimitri and Maxim would too cook for her. I
3 years later Natalie hesitatingly looked up from the ground into Thomas's eyes. She finally gathered the courage and told him everything about his real parents. Her heart was thumping loudly as she waited to hear him but he was blankly gazing at her. He was just nine years old but probably more mature than an 18-year-old today. Thomas sighed almost in disappointment making Natalie hold her breath as negative thoughts started coming into her head. Was he blaming her? Did he not see her as his mother anymore? Did he not love her anymore? Would he not want to live with her anymore? What if he started hating— She was pulled out of her thought as she felt his finger wiping a lone tear that fell from her eye without her even realizing it. A frown was visible on Thomas's face as he wiped the tear away and then looked at Natalie with a small scowl. "Did you really think I would blame you for something you were never at fault for?" Natalie could hear the slight anger in his voice, sadne
6 months later Adrian and Isaac looked at each other and sighed, they were surrounded by the police. They got out of their cars with their guns pointed at them and yelled, "Hands in the air and drop your weapons." Isaac raised an eyebrow at that but Adrian cleared his throat looking at him, signaling him to do as said. Reluctantly they both threw the gun in their hand on the ground. Adrian looked at Isaac, as he dropped another gun on the ground. The cops were right in front of them as one yelled, "Drop all your weapons. Fast" "Like I need any to fight you.." he muttered under his breath, Adrian held back the smirk forming on his lips. Then Isaac proceeded to through five guns strapped onto him on the ground and when the cops thought he was done, he started dropping a few knives he had with him as well. The cops were a little frightened they knew who these two were but they still held a gallant look on their faces. Their jaw dropped to the ground when they saw so many knives and
"After the dark nights, there is always a sunrise..." Natalie walked into her room, her eyes on the book in her hand. Adrian was sitting on a chair as he too had a few books scattered on the table. "Just two more weeks" Natalie sighed as she sat down on Adrian's lap. His attention immediately turned to her as he wrapped his arm around her waist. He looked at her with utmost love. She looked up from her book feeling his gaze and raised an eyebrow in question. He didn't answer with words but smiled softly and tucked her hair behind her ear. "Two more weeks alone." He corrected Natalie making her chuckle as she nodded. After the whole story was finally revealed and Roman paid for what he did. Natalie and Adrian were forced to go back to the US to finish the degrees they had left in between. They were hesitant at first but Dimitri urged them to finish it while he and Maxim will handle the mafia business. Not that it really needed any special attention now. It was working splendidly
"Guess I never knew love how love knew me..." Roman was laying on his luxurious chair. Pride filled in his heart. He won. He won after all these years. The moment Natalie died he had won. He chuckled as he drank some scotch. He was the king of the mafia world now. Everyone feared him. They all called him the best leader of all. He killed his brother's murderers. He took Maxim's revenge. He chuckled as he opened his cupboard and got out that gun. The sniper rifle he used to kill his brother. This was where his story began. This was where he started to write his fate. He suddenly heard some commotion outside. He got up and walked out curiously. It was all peaceful now so what was this about. Then a man came running to him. "Sir Dimitri attacked us!" Roman's eyes widened. Didn't he kill him? "What the hell are you saying, you idiot! He is dead." He snarled at the man's face with anger laced in his voice. He shook his head in fear as he spoke, "Sir he is right outside. He is aliv
Dimitri couldn't believe his ears, his sister, Mila was in love. She was pregnant too. His heart ached thinking how all her happiness was taken away in one moment. He was going to be an uncle, and a small version of his sister would be roaming around. Not only did she lose it all, but she also died very painfully... Adrian's eyes were teary too. Why did he ever help that man? Wasn't he the one because of whom he succeeded so many times. Why did he ever believe his father without thinking for himself first? He just was lost in the fact that he was his family. That his father must be right, he could have never thought that he was burning with envy for his own brother who actually helped him reach where he was today that he was so insecure about his position in the gang, that the post meant so much to him he could even kill his own brother. Adrian was ashamed of himself, he always thought twice before trusting someone. But he was blind when it came to his father. And now he lost her he
"Old scars don't fade so soon.." Adrian froze and the man walked up to him with a small smile on his face. "Missed me?" Dimitri and Isaac too took a look at the man and were blown away. They couldn't believe this was happening... "How?' Adrian whispered, he felt like he was hallucinating. He couldn't believe that right in front of him stood his uncle, who he thought died long ago. Maxim Smirnov. Adrian could see the scars on his face, the scars were the proof he was in that accident. But how did he survive and where was he all this time? "You survived? But how?—" Maxim came to Adrian and pulled him into a hug. Adrian hugged him back, even though he was happy that his uncle was here, that he was alive he still couldn't feel happiness, he felt her missing and that was something too big to overcome. Isaac too was astonished to see him. His father was very close with Maxim, he always told great things about Maxim to him. Isaac also knew that had he been alive his father wouldn't
"And he was left with was a bruised heart..." Leonid stood in front of the door as he knocked on it. Isaac quickly stood up and walked to the door. He was worried out of his mind, Natalie was not picking up his calls, he got to know Leonid was abducted but he knew nothing about what was happening. He even searched around a few places but found nothing. He even called Adrian but no result. Dimitri too was worried looking at the ground and thinking deeply, he had a bad feeling, that something was not right. If Leonid was kidnapped Adrian would have gone to save him and since Roman didn’t know anything about them Adrian might be able to handle him, but now when even Natalie was not answering her phone it made him even more agonized, he knew how his daughter was and he just hoped she was fine, and everyone else too. Opening the door he found a bloodied-up Leonid on the door, Isaac looked at him worriedly and asked. "What happened to you? Why no one told us anything? What is going on
