Chapter 4

Chapter Four:

.....About Omegas, except Chloé, who rather, grew more hatred for Lucinda. She vowed to send Lucinda to extinction, since she (Lucinda), wants to prove herself better than the Betas, even to an Alpha like her. 

That was a terrible decision she had made!

Chloé began cooking out deadly plans to eliminate Lucinda from the pack, and her life, forever.

     Time passed by, it was now in the early days of December, in year 2000.

     A lot had happened, a lot had changed and Chloé's flaming hatred for Lucinda had also changed; It had actually gotten worse, leaving in Chloé's bone marrow the bitter taste of sighting Lucinda, especially, when Lucinda happened to be with Jack. The discriminations, hatred and other inhumane acts displayed by Chloé against Lucinda, was hell itself. It's now certain to Lucinda that Chloé has a passionate hatred against her, reason for so much a dislike, still remains a mystery to Lucinda.

     As Chloé spent time craving for unnecessary hatred against Lucinda, so did Jack and Lucinda spent time gaining acquaintance of each other. They had built a strong bond. It all started when Jack willingly offered to help Lucinda in learning fighting skills, and Lucinda agreed. 

     That afternoon, Lucinda came to Jack's private training ground, where Jack had directed her. When she arrived the location, it was an old garage, the door was wide opened, making Lucinda walked in without a knock. She passed odd and dirty objects and equipments till she arrived an area with open roof and hay for carpet. Lucinda in wonder decided to take a look at the open space. She kept her eyes fixed to the sky, and walked around the space by taking steps backwards. She was back walking around when she jammed a tall and still object which made her turn around to see what she had jammed. Lo and behold, Lucinda's eyes caught Jack in nude (shirtless), she scanned the muscular bodied seductive man within a gaze. For a minute, she was choked of breath. Still trying to shun her mind which was condensing the scene into thousands of thoughts in her mind, Jack worsened the state by holding Lucinda firmly at the waist and dragged her closer and tighter to his body. Immediately, Lucinda felt a pulse ran down her spine, her body temperature became hot as she shivered in Jack's tight arms.

Lols! What was Lucinda thinking?

Just then, a weak part of the remaining cemented roof fell behind Lucinda, making her to shock in fear. Now she had know that Jack was only saving her, nothing more.

But truely, Jack had seized the opportunity to express his care for Lucinda.

     A time came for enemy's plight. 

It was on the daytime of 11th December, 2000. All werewolves of the pack were preparing for the ' Full Moon Phase ', which they were expecting to appear after sunset. It had rained heavily.

Chloé has finally come up with a plan to deal with Lucinda, she had planned it perfectly well with the young Betas, mostly the females. Her trap really caught their game, Lucinda. It was a deceit framed as being in need. Chloé had used a Lad, who claimed to be in the need of help in the bush, and Lucinda had fallen for it. 

Chloé's untold plan, was that she was going to kill Lucinda, there in the bush. But Lucinda was a girl, who will accept defeat without a fight.

     In the arranged scene; When the Lad had led Lucinda to the scene of death warrant, the Lad immediately took to his heels, leaving Lucinda astonished in the bush. Chloé came into the scene, while her followers poured gas around the two ladies and set the bush ablaze. Chloé's intentions was to kill Lucinda as swift as she could, and then abandon her there and flee. Chloé launched the first attack in a human- wolf appearance, she tore Lucinda's left hand with her sharp claws. The second launch was on Lucinda's face, which made Lucinda turned wild, showing her human - wolf features.

The third launched attack was made by Lucinda, she had refused to keep it on a low, since Chloé was ready for the worst. By giving in, Lucinda had paved the way for a war. The two ladies dived into a war that seemed unending, with both sustaining injuries. As the fight lasted, the blazing fire increases.

     After a while, the women transformed to wolves. This was unfavorable to Lucinda, because, Chloé as an Alpha was always roaring at her, thereby, weakning her and subjecting her to obey her (Chloé), but Lucinda tried fighting the commanding roar at all times. 

Chloé pounced on Lucinda and start injuring her all over in attempt to tear her apart. The fire was near than ever.

Lucinda, a neat white wolf, is now dressed in red, blood.

The pain Lucinda felt when Chloé tried to bite off her neck, made her cried a loud roar. Jack in his room at the pack house, instinctively heard Lucinda's roar and felt her pains, he immediately transformed into a black yellow eyed wolf, and ran to the direction he sniffed Lucinda's perfume coming from.

     After the loud roar, Lucinda pushed Chloé off her, and in anger fought Chloé. She was tearing Chloé into pieces when the fire began to burn them. Lucinda tried dragging Chloé out of the fire, but was too weak to do so, Chloé in the other hand was not helping matters, for she had sustained deep injuries and was weak to move. Just when the pack outside the fire had proclaimed to themselves that the women have been burnt, Jack in fury, from no where jumped into the fire and jumped out almost the same time,  with Lucinda's weak body. Nothing could be done to save Chloé, so, she went ablaze.

Later, the fire was quenched and Chloé's lifeless body was brought out and kept in a safe house in the pack house, for a befitting burial, later.

The pack bowed and worshipped Lucinda, for she's now their newly emerged female Alpha.

     The entirety of the pack spent the night in solemn moment, under the full phase of the moon, which they had long awaited. Most members of the pack spent the night in the bush, under the bright smiling moon. The moon smiled brightly and with a steady gaze on her beloveds, she was even brighter and pure than ever; Had she not know that an Alpha had died, or, was she satisfied with the new change of Alpha? 

The serenity of the night was like never ending.

       

     On the following day, a befiting burial was done in the honour of Chloé. Chloé's burial was mandated an obligation, and as such, no werewolf dared to exempt ' the farewell bid ' of such a heroine, whose life experience has become a lesson to many werewolves, especially the younger ones. 

Since it was the last respect to be paid the diseased, the 'ever lasting bye' was celebrated, or rather, mourned in a grand style. It was done in accordance with the werewolves' constitution for the burial of an Alpha, a well renowned Elder, a werewolf that has played an substitutable role in the world of the pack or an eldest member of the pack.

Lucinda wept all through the processes of the burial, it wasn't easy to make her quiet.

     As future may have it, the two Alphas got married, and hoped to live happily family.
