After I hand Niles to Emily, I hold Maddy’s hand as we walked to the backyard. “Emily just did not know that you are still not ready for that. Just ignore it.” I said to Maddy.

She did not answer me, so I looked up to her, “babe?” I called up to her.

She then shook her head and looked like she was deep in thoughts, “I know. I understand.” She said.

I nodded my head as I smiled at her. “I mean, I will wait for you.” I said as I kissed her hand. And continued to walk.

As we walk for several minutes, she still did not say anything, I looked at her and asked, “Hey, anything that has been bothering you? You seemed off.” I said.

She took a deep breathe, “Where do you picture yourself, 5 years from now?” she asked me.

I looked at her, “I picture that we would have gotten married by then, and having a daughter already.” I exclaimed happily.

Her eyes looked at me dimmed, “What if I told you that I have not picture us going there by then, wou- would you hate me for that?” she asked sadly.

I sigh
