Chapter 21

Scarlette wandered aimlessly through the woods, her mind in a fog after she had her first dream walk, especially with all the things she had learned about herself. How could Gabriel kill Isabella, their friend? Was their love really worth that much? Scarlette felt more alone than ever before. She was torn between her love for Gabriel and her disgust with what he had done. The revelation about what she truly is wasn't helping her either although it was a welcoming surprise.

But the Scarlette from her dream mentioned that her Gabriel also killed their Isabella, before humankind was made. She wondered why she didn’t ask for that Gabriels reasoning for killing his friend.

As she walked, Scarlette suddenly heard a rustling in the bushes. She turned to see a pair of glowing green eyes staring back at her. Her heart skipped a beat as she recognized the creature – a werewolf.
