Gabriel packs a backpack full of books for me to study our problem at hand on our two-hour journey back to the French Qaurter. Since we still have left over and snacks we won't have to make any pit stops on our way back. I wonder if my UK license would work in the USA I will have to ask Gabriel about that later since his old as dust he should know the answer, I mean we should take turns driving right?

About 40 minutes into the driver Jackson and Gabriel switch seats so that Jackson can drive, he seems calmer now.

"Do you guys think my UK License would work in the States?"As predicted Gabriel answers, no reason it shouldn't it is a full license yeah?" I at him "Obviously Gabe, I dinnae ken one could operate a vehicle with a license that is cut in half now ken ya?" They both break out with laughter.

As soon as their laughter dies down Gabriel's phone rings. "Yes," He chose to answer on the loudspeaker "Philip has not checked-in in three days." Gabriel's fist clenches "When did you notic

As we open the door we hear a commotion inside, Gabriel has to use human speed to get behind the bar to pull some brunette with curled hair off Lydia whose face we witnessed her bashing into the counter then pulling her backward and punching her square in the face, poor Lydia isn't even fighting back she is just taking the punches and screaming. Gabriel rushes to pull the woman off Lydia and I rush to Lydia to help her with her injuries but she is so traumatized that she screams louder when I touch her after she was thrown on the floor like a rag doll. "Hey darling, it's me, it's me Scarlette, please let me help you, lass." At the sound of my voice, she calms down and starts to weep like a baby and holds on to me for dear life "Who the fuck are you?!" The girl being held around the throat one arm bent behind her back and her body against Gabes, something inside of me does not like the picture I see before me and I think Gabriel knows it because he smirks when my eyes narrow at the bi

After Gabriel's announcement, it was understood that all will assist in finding the mage, we informed Jackson that all the vampires are at our disposal, and if there is anything Sasha can tell us it would be helpful he informed us that they will be by tomorrow. I advised Jedreel he can stay or go back to our dimension since he is my second wherever there is he needs to ensure things run smoothly while I am on Earth. He said he needs to go but will he is at my disposal whenever I want or need and then disappeared into thin air. "To answer the question you asked before we walked into this mess, I live in the apartment across from yours. Now that I have met you I don't think it was a coincidence that you rented that one. Matter-o-fact, I think Mary had something to do with it." I look at him knowing full well that, that could very well have been what happened because it is her that are having the dreams or is it me? It is you who are dreaming Scarlette she says in my head, I am just h

"Where is Lydia?" I ask interrupting the scolding that Markus was getting. "I laid her on the counter top." And now it's me who Narrows my eyes "From the floor to the counter top? You reckon because you are a preditor she doesn't deserve comfort? Or do you feel that since she is the reason Philip is missing she gets what she gets?" Markus backs away from me, the memory of my shift and Phoebie dangling in the air clearly still clear in his head. He shakes his head from left to right, "I didn't know what to do with her." I turn to Gab smiling sarcastically "Do you not have a sick bay for staff who are not allowed to go home when they feel unwell?" he looks at his shoes, "I have always only employed supernaturals at the Swig and Swine." I shake my head at the both of them, "Where does Lydia live Gabriel, this should have been on her CV if I am not mistaken." He takes his macbook out from one of the locked draws in his desk, unlocks it and then goes to his employ

The next morning I awaken to a message from Gabriel that he and Sasha will be by in an hour I react with a thumbs up and move to the coffee machine, Oh did I mention the apartment came with a Keurig? Best damn accommodation ever, so I put an Esspresso pod into the machine with a large red mug with a black heart on it and head to the bathroom to relieve my bladder and shower, as I sit on the toilet I notice the wetness between my legs and the puddle in my undies. I emerge from the bathroom in a black tank top a pair of blue skinny jeans and my white Converse hair still wet and head for my coffee I notice that the mug is standing next to the machine and a white mug with a black heart is in the machine frowning I look around to see Gabriel standing on the balcony, I fold my arms "Gabriel?..." He turns around "Scarlette." he simply states "Please don't do what you did in the shower again, I would smell you this morning before you even woke up, matter-o-fact I could smell you last night

Jackson and Sasha arrive just as Gabriel finishes placing the breakfast muffins he made from scratch on the table, How in the hell did he do all this in an hour? Vamp speed, the only reason why it took an hour was because well the human equipment is on their own time, but if he could make them do things on vamp speed I am sure he would have. I open the door to welcome the two in, "Oh damn Scar I didn't know you could cook it smells great in here." I laugh boisterously, "Jax if I cooked we would all die, Gabe is in the kitchen." We all laugh "Well what woman doesn't love a man who could cook up a storm" says Sasha, well damn great minds think alike don't they? I lead them to the kitchen table where Gabriel is waiting, he got the juice out, a pot of filtered coffee, a pot of hot tea, and one of iced peach tea, the man went all out. As we dig into our breakfast it is Sasha who starts the conversation "So I was running down the alleyway because I was on my way to the Swig and Swin B

"And remember, no shifting or sex for a week that means 7 days, know what, Charlotte, why don't the Luna stay with you for the week." I Smile at her sarcastically, "No problem at all." She has a thing for Gabe and she doesn't like the attention Gabe has been showering me with so she pretends to not know my name. Typical bitch behaviorMary is having a roasting show in my head for Lana, it is honestly comedic even Gabriel burst out in laughing fits every now and then as if he cannot contain himself."Thank you for coming Lana." He shakes her hand but she was clearly leaning in for a hug in my head Mary makes a snide comment about desperation looking bad on a stunning lady.Jackson asks Sasha if she would like a lunch date with him before they have to spend the week apart to which she accepts his offer "Oi, what is she going to sleep in? Are you saying we cannot leave you unsupervised?" Both of them blush beet red I face palm myself damn it it's as if I am amongst a bunch of teenagers.

GABRIEL'S POV I felt the spark of energy when I touched Scarlettes shoulder, it tingled from my head right down to my pinky toes soles included, that has never happened to me before. I know my bretheran who was created with me would feel such sparks when they met their forever mate. I felt a slight tingle with Queen Mary and perhaps for a moment I thought she was mine but never said anything so I left it at that. But the tingle was different with Scarlette, if she was a vampire it would have knocked me off my fucking feet, I have seen it happen with Dracular and he was known to be the strongest of all of us because he was sculpure first. So when Scarlette blirted out that she dreamed of me this morning, after that intoxicating cherry scent I got from her arousal, I knew it. There was no doubt. That is how a vampire knows he or she has found their true mate. The woman has a naughty dream and the scent that pools in her knickers are what draws her true mate because it is only him who

We finish our meal and Lydia opts to stay at work as it will keep her busy. I can literally see the fear in her aura. Jax states that they need to get Sasha some clothes because, apparently, women don't know what they're looking for while shopping for clothing. "Before you go, there is something I need to show you all," Gabriel states with an uncomfortable smile on his face. "Or perhaps it could wait until the pub closes, up to you." we all look at each other "Sorry bro, I won't pass up a day of shopping for anything," Sasha says, "You heard the lady" Jax states groaning. I laughed at them. "I suppose it can wait until the whole gang is ready?" I asked Gabriel, who nodded in affirmation. "Yes indeed, I will need Lydia and Markus there too." The two behind the counter stood stupified by Gabriel's announcement. "Great, that means I have time to go home and get ready." I announced as I got up and made my way to the bar with the apple pay ready to pay for my food, but Gabriel shook his

As Gabriel sat in his small apartment, lost in thought, his phone buzzed with a message from an unknown number. Curiosity piqued, he unlocked his phone and read the message that appeared on the screen:"Protect Scarlett at all costs. Danger approaches. Trust in your bond."Confusion and concern filled Gabriel's mind. Who could have sent this message? And why was Scarlett in danger? ALTERNATE UNIVERSE Kael stepped forward, his face tense. "Your Majesty, Scarlette, Demetrius," he greeted them, bowing low. "I have troubling news from the Vampire Council." Gabriel's jaw clenched. "What is it?" "The Council has received reports of a group of rogue vampires attacking nearby villages, killing and turning humans indiscriminately," Kael explained. "They believe that it might be the work of one of our own." Gabriel's eyes narrowed. "One of our own?" "Yes, Your Majesty," Kael confirmed. "The Council suspects that the perpetrator might be one of the rebels who defied their orders and left the clan years ago." Scarlette felt a shiver run down her spine. "What do we do?" "We investigate," Gabriel said firmly. "We cannot let our kind be associated with this kind of brutality. We will find the perpetrator and bring them to justice." Scarlette nodded, knowing that Gabriel was right. They could not let their love for each other blind them to the responsibilities that came

As the car zoomed down the winding road, singing along to their favorite tunes, Scarlett couldn't shake off the feeling that something strange was about to happen. A chill ran down her spine, making her hair stand on end. Her ocean-blue eyes darted around, searching for any sign of what was to come. Suddenly, a sharp pang shot through Scarlett's head. She winced, clutching her temples, as a voice echoed in her mind. It was gentle yet commanding, like a whisper carried by the wind. "Scarlett," the voice called, resonating in her thoughts. Confused and a little frightened, Scarlett glanced around in the car at her friends, but they seemed oblivious to what she was experiencing. She shifted in her seat, trying to make sense of it all. "Seek the ancient artifact, hidden deep within the forest," the voice continued, its urgency creeping into Scarlett's mind. "It holds the power to awaken your true abilities and unlock the secrets of your past." Scarlett's heart raced. Who was speaking t

“It’s witch, with a W” Moira patronized Lydia “What a feisty one you are little sister.” She said with a smirk on her face. The wind grew stronger at her verbal jabs. “Why are you doing this to these people Moira, what have they done to you?” Lydia asked, her voice had even thickened a bit. “Put away the claws kitten and I will tell you. I won’t waste my strength shouting over your chaos.” Moira answered Lydia. Lydia dissipated her power just enough to make Moira believe she had closed off access to her magic. “Great, now contrary to popular belief, I am not after the Nishruu inside of you.” Moira said in disgust, “I have seen how those things have driven family members crazy or to suicide, I refuse to host such an abomination.” she continued, “Alright let me start at the beginning.” Moira clapped her hands together and rubbed them as though she was ready to have a feast. “A little history little sister, the Nishruu was not placed inside of you because our family was trying to save

“So you’re going to stand there and pretend you don’t know who I am?” Sasha asked Asher. The beta frowned and then sniffed the air again this time zoning in on the Queen Luna. His eyes widened as tears started to stream down his face, and he fell to his knees. That was not the reaction she expected. “Of course not Lilly,” Asher said, which made Scarlett's eyes widen as she recalled her dream of the other universe where Gabriel and Scarlett had a little girl with them called Lily. “My name is Sasha.” She said to him anger boiling in her chest. “Olivia named you Lily, forgive me, Lyle must have asked the humans to rename you to keep you hidden,” Asher said as his voice broke. “What did you just say?” She asked him in confusion as her anger only dissipated by a fraction. “Alpha Johnson did not kill you even though the witch warned him this day would come and you would seek your vengeance upon him for slaughtering our true Luna.” Beta Miller said, still on his knees. “Well, so my siste

“We have reached our destination.” At those words Sasha was awake and alert, ready for any attack but when she looked around she saw they were parked in the middle of nowhere. “We move on foot from here,” Gabriel said as everyone got out of the car. “WHY?!” Sasha whined, “Nobody likes to hike Gabe” Lydia groaned with Sasha, “I beg to differ, that is actually how Scar and I met.” Jackson added in full of laughter and Scarlett joined in on their private joke, causing their mates to give them death glares. “Oh stop it you two, it wasn’t like that.” Scarlett said “Yeah, I have mistaken her for an Irish person and she went off on me. Besides I wanted to know who was in my territory as her aura set the whole pack into a frenzy.” Jackson concluded and the two burst out laughing again. “I can’t even smell wolves from here,” Sasha whined again. “5-mile radius babe, we don’t want to lose the element of surprise until it’s too fucking late and they find us on their doorsteps,” Jackson said wi
