Rose Alexandria Sinclair;

The moment Frederico released me, I didn’t hesitate—I bolted. My legs moved faster than my thoughts, carrying me as far away from his cold presence as I could manage. I stumbled into the room and collapsed onto the bed, overwhelmed by a rush of tears that seemed to drown me whole.

What hurt the most wasn’t just being in his service—it was the emptiness in his eyes. The same eyes that had once held warmth now only reflected anger, disdain, and irritation. His words had been sharp, cutting through me like daggers, each one worse than the last. My stomach churned with the weight of it.

“Are you crying?” a faint voice asked, cutting through the silence. I shook my head quickly, but the lump in my throat betrayed me.

“Yes, you are, foolish girl,” the voice continued, soft but firm. “It’s okay to cry. Come on, let it out—cry if it hurts!”

The dam inside me broke, and I sobbed harder, burying my face into the mattress. A scream tore from my throat, raw and unrestrained, releasing the anger and pain that had been consuming me.

“Now that’s better,” the voice said, her tone lighter. I lifted my head cautiously and turned toward her. She was sitting on the edge of the bed, her face lit with a warm, angelic smile. She was... beautiful.

“Thank you,” I whispered, wiping my tears.

“You’re welcome,” she said, her grin widening.

“Gambler’s girl…” I murmured, completing her thought. She chuckled softly, her laugh like a balm on my frayed nerves.

“Forgive me, but what’s your name?” she asked, leaning back against the wall casually.

“Rose. I’m Rose. What about you?”

“Natalie.” Her smile deepened as she cupped my face gently. “You’re lonely, Rose. I’m lonely too. Let’s be friends, hmm? Actually, no—you don’t get to decide. We’re best friends now!”

A laugh bubbled out of me before I could stop it, loud and unrestrained.

“You’re insane!” I said, shaking my head at her antics.

“Absolutely,” she agreed with a wink. “Oh, by the way, I’m your roommate.”

My laughter slowed as relief washed over me. “Oh, thank God! I was so worried I’d end up with… you know, one of those girls.”

“Jessica and her gang?” Natalie’s nose wrinkled in disgust. “Ugh, those animals!”

“Yeah, especially the blonde one…”

“Jessica,” Natalie clarified. “She’s one of the oldest maids here, and let’s just say she’s… close with the Boss. You know what I mean, right?”

I frowned, confused. “No, not really…”

Natalie blinked at me, then burst out laughing. “Oh my God, you’re serious? She’s the mansion whore, Rose! That kind of close.”

“Oh…” My eyes widened as realization dawned.

Natalie’s laughter turned mischievous as she leaned in. “Stick with me, bestie. I’ll teach you how to survive this place.”

“Yeah, sure!” I said with a shrug, but the sudden beeping of my wristwatch cut through the moment. Time for work.

“Aww, duty calls! See you later, Rosè,” Natalie said with a playful pout, waving me off. I chuckled softly and left.

It was time to clean the hallway and stairs—the most dreaded chore in this entire house. Just thinking about it made me groan inwardly.

Grabbing the cleaning supplies, I headed toward the hallway, already bracing myself for the endless scrubbing. But as I approached, a voice—sharp and angry—echoed through the house.

It was Frederico. I didn’t need to see him to know; the way my heart dropped was proof enough.

Curiosity and fear warred within me as I crept closer to the living room. Peeking around the corner, I froze.

There he was, standing tall and menacing, a gun aimed at a man’s head. The poor guy was restrained by two security guards, his hands pinned behind his back.

Frederico’s voice cut through the air, harsh and commanding, speaking rapid Italian I couldn’t understand.

And then it happened.

*Boom!*

The gun went off, and I flinched as the deafening sound ripped through the room. Blood splattered across Frederico’s face, painting a grotesque picture. My stomach churned violently, and I had to clutch the wall to steady myself.

As if sensing my presence, Frederico turned sharply, his cold, unrelenting gaze locking onto mine.

For a moment, neither of us moved. His eyes were ice—void of emotion, yet so full of something dark and terrifying that I felt paralyzed.

What kind of demon had taken hold of this man? And why couldn’t I look away?

He rolled his eyes at me before walking off, leaving a suffocating tension in his wake. I swallowed hard, stepping out cautiously as the guards dragged the lifeless body away. The sight was nauseating, the metallic stench of blood lingering in the air, making my stomach churn.

Some maids rushed in, scrubbing the crimson stains off the floor with frantic energy. I hissed under my breath, annoyed and shaken, and turned to head upstairs.

But the moment I reached the top, my heart sank. There he was—Frederico.

He leaned casually against the railing, but his presence was anything but relaxed. His predatory smirk sent a cold shiver down my spine, and my palms grew clammy. It was as if he’d been waiting for me.

Lowering my gaze, I stepped aside, keeping as much distance as possible, and got to work. Yet, I could *feel* his eyes on me, sharp and unrelenting. My hands trembled as I scrubbed, my nerves unraveling with every passing second.

“Why are you staring at me?” I mumbled under my breath, barely loud enough to be heard.

There was no response.

I risked a glance over my shoulder, and sure enough, his piercing gaze was locked on me, unwavering and cold.

For a while, I tried to focus on my task, pretending he wasn’t there, but his presence loomed, suffocating and inescapable. Then, suddenly, I felt it—him moving closer.

His scent hit me first, intoxicating and overwhelming. It was maddening, a mixture of power and danger that made my knees weak.

I froze as his hand brushed against my neck, his fingers trailing slowly, deliberately.

“You should be careful…” His voice was low, rough, and dangerously close to my ear. “I hate when my property gets scratched.”

My breath hitched as his words sank in, each one dripping with possessive venom. Before I could respond, he was already walking away, leaving me reeling.

Property? His property? My hand flew to my neck instinctively. Was there a scratch I hadn’t noticed, or was he just playing mind games?

Frederico Grey Di Grazia A glass of whiskey rested in my hand as I leaned against the window, watching Rose crouch in the garden, her hands lost in the weeds. There wasn’t a flicker of emotion in me—not love, not hate. Nothing. What I wanted from her was simple: pain. I wanted her to claw and crawl through the same hell I’d been dragged through. To beg, to sob, to plead for mercy she’d never receive. Her parents? Oh, they were living on borrowed time. The same way she stripped mine from me, I’d return the favor. One by one.“Boss,” a voice interrupted my thoughts, familiar but irritating nonetheless.I turned slowly, slipping my left hand into my pocket, a deliberate move that kept him guessing. “James, isn’t it?”He swallowed, hesitating. “Uh… no, Boss. It’s John.” His gaze dropped as if he knew better than to meet my eyes.“Is that so?” I murmured, a slow smirk tugging at my lips. “John, then. Have a drink with me.”I poured him a glass, the amber liquid catching the light. Passing

Frederico Grey Di Grazia Her jaw tightened, and her hands curled into fists, but she didn’t respond.I chuckled, leaning forward slightly. “What, no answer? Cat got your tongue? Or is it just that you can’t bring yourself to admit it?”She swallowed hard, her voice barely above a whisper. “What do you want from me?”I stood, the space between us shrinking as I closed the distance. She flinched slightly but held her ground, her breathing shallow. “What do I want?” I echoed, tilting my head. “I want you to dance. Like you used to.”Her eyes widened slightly, the anger in them flickering to life again. “Please… don’t—”“Don’t what?” I interrupted, my voice soft but laced with menace. “Don’t remind you of what you were? Of how you used to beg for my attention?”Her lips parted as if she wanted to argue, to lash out, but she said nothing. She couldn’t. Instead, she dropped her gaze, her shoulders stiff as she struggled to keep her composure.“Dance, Rose,” I said, stepping back and gestur

Rose Alexandria Sinclair“Need a hand?” a gentle voice asked as I busied myself with weeding the garden.I glanced up, and my breath caught for a moment. The man standing before me had one of the most captivating faces I’d ever seen—calm, warm, and utterly magnetic.“I’m Edward, Ma’am Sarah’s son,” he introduced himself with a friendly smile.“Oh…” I stood slowly, wiping my hands on my apron. He had already extended his hand, so I shook it, feeling a bit flustered. “I’m Rose Alexandria Sinclair.”“That’s a beautiful name,” he said, leaning casually against the wall. “I take it you’re new around here? I haven’t seen you before.”“Yeah, I am,” I replied softly.“Makes sense. I just got back from college myself. Anyway, it’s nice to meet you.” He gave a small wave, his smile lingering, and walked off.I found myself smiling after him. Who would’ve thought Ma’am Sarah’s son would be this… charming?Still, I reminded myself why I was here. Focus, Rose. As I got back to work, Mrs. Emilia wa

She didn’t say a word at first, just nodded, her expression distant. After a long stretch of silence, she finally murmured, "It's okay… it’s not your fault either."I wasn’t sure if I believed her, but there was no time to dwell. Frederico Grey Di Grazia I leaned against the doorway, shrouded in the shadows, my arms folded as I watched the scene unfold. Rose’s startled expression as the lights flickered on and off amused me, her nerves evident in the way she clutched the feather duster as though it could protect her from whatever she thought was lurking in the darkness. And then he walked in. Edward. Ma’am Sarah’s overconfident son. A muscle in my jaw tightened as I watched him move closer to her, his laughter echoing through the room like an irritant. The way he looked at her, spoke to her, dared to touch her—it grated on my nerves. His audacity was almost comical. He was playing with what was mine. Mine. I watched as he leaned closer to her, brushing her hair away with a familiarity that turned my amusement into irritation. My fists clenched at my sides. What gave him the right to invade her space like that? To make her blush, to steal a smile that wasn’t his to take? The tension in my chest tig

Rose SinclairThe whole day went by without me stepping out. I remained inside the room we all shared, buried under the duvet on my bunk bed.My thoughts went everywhere, yet I couldn't find the answers I sought.Would he really let me meet my mother?Did he hold me back from Trix because he knew she would hurt me?Why exactly am I here if I'm just to be a fancy slave tool?I thought of every answer to the unwavering questions chugging my heart. Then, his hands on my throat, the rage in his eyes, his facial expression, his body movement—the disgust simmering out of every word he uttered was overwhelming.I was out of options. I had considered every sane idea I could come up with. That evening, I woke up and tried to get to my feet, but a wave of dizziness hit me. I sat back, trying to collect myself before attempting to stand again. After what felt like an eternity, the dizziness cleared. Something caught my eye—a tray covered with linen.I pulled it open and found a plate filled with

Now, Beatrice has the perfect excuse to drag Rose into her twisted revenge games.A deep, unsettling feeling twisted inside me—I was the one who made Rose into the Fox she’s becoming by sending her here. She’s no longer the quiet, fragile girl she once was. That passive fury she unleashed on Trix? I’ve never seen her that mad before. At the same time, I can’t deny I’m impressed. A part of me was pleased—she’s becoming territorial, showing real emotions instead of that constant gloom. B

Rose SinclairAfter our usual daily routine, an announcement came through—Red was visiting today.Chaos erupted. Whispers, murmurs, hushed conversations. Excitement and fear coiled together in the air like a storm about to break.Me? I kept my thoughts to myself. I had learned my lesson back in the cafeteria.A few hours later, we all gathered in the great hall. The masters had no details about the surprise Red had in store for us, only that it wouldn’t be an easy one. That much was obvious. Then, the hall doors burst open with a force that sent a ripple of tension through the crowd. The air shifted. A presence entered the room—powerful, commanding. We were trained well enough to keep our eyes straight ahead, locked onto the raised platform, but we felt him.In seconds, he strode past my line of sight, heading for the front. Federico Di Grazia; With the election only months away, my team and I were busier than ever. I had a lot on my plate—meetings to attend, business deals to oversee, and associates to manage. But it wasn’t just politics keeping me occupied. The underground mafia world had caught wind of my run for governor, assuming foolishly that my focus on the campaign meant I’d be too distracted to keep my grip on the streets.I needed to remind them. I ruled both worlds, and no one—not even another mafia family—could overthrow a Di Grazia.James brought me intel the other night."Boss," he said, "word is your campaign has stirred up the mafia. But nothing captivated me like that bow in the restricted room. With three days left before our shooting program began, we gathered notes on bullets, arrowheads, and other essentials. I’d already started picturing myself shooting, imagining the thrill of it.Fun, right?Wrong. We were taken to a practice room where Tier 3 was having a shooting test. Federico Di Grazia;I was trying to wrap up some paperwork before my meeting with the confraternity later today. Being a senator was no small task, and my right-hand man, James, and I had worked tirelessly—pulling an all-nighter to stay ahead. The campaign team had dropped off samples earlier: T-shirts, hats, banners—everything a politician needed.I know, it sounds like I don’t fully belong in that world. Right now, I see myself as an interim, just until I officially secure the position—which, by the way, is already in motion.A soft knock on the door pulled me from my work. Rose Sinclair; The resident doctor cleared me for discharge last night. By 5 AM, I was already up, showered, dressed in casual clothes, and ready for whoever was coming to pick me up. The past week had been nothing but a cycle of monotony, with the old TV in the ward playing the same fighting techniques over and over again.By now, my mind had memorized those moves—not by choice, but by sheer repetition. The more you’re exposed to something, the more your subconscious absorbs it. That’s just how the brain works.I sat on the bed, waiting patiently. By 6 AM, Mad Max Waltz walked in. His sharp eyes scanned the room before locking onto mine. From across the ward, Max held my gaze in silent challenge. The tension thickened, an invisible line drawn between us. There was nothing I liked about him—his cruelty, his demeanor, his complete lack of kindness. His piercing blue eyes seemed to drill into me, unwavering. My eyes watered slightly from the intensity, but I refused to look away. I wan

I’d had plenty of "history" before, but I never got attached, and I sure as hell didn’t go back."You got something to say?" I asked impatiently, waiting for her to get out of my way."You haven’t called, texted, or even asked me over... so yeah, I’ve got something to say." Her arms crossed, bitterness lacing her voice.I let out a small chuckle, rubbing my temple with one hand while the other rested on my waist. "You knew the rules—no strings attached. Why would I do any of that just because we had a few nights together?" My tone was sharp, deliberate. She scoffed, disbelief flashing across her face. She looked away for a moment before locking eyes with me again. "That twerp in there is why you’re acting like this, huh? That weak-ass, dumb-ass had you running back in here?" She accused, like she had some claim over me."You sound entitled, Trix… or should I say Beatrice?" I watched
