3. My Husband?

The rest of the day was spent eating or having sex. I have never in my life wanted someone as much as I have wanted to be with Bo! It's almost an addiction but I know it's probably because it's new. I just need to get back to work tomorrow and I am sure that it will help me gain perspective. I was awakened two hours before it was time for me to wake up by Bo already inside me! We made love for two hours before we both climaxed.

Then we took a shower and got dressed. I was physically exhausted but I felt amazing! We had breakfast together and left my condo together. Once we got to his truck he helped me park my bike in my parking spot before Bo took me to work. On the way, he said, "Bunny, call me if Tim makes you uncomfortable. Okay? You promise?" I nodded in agreement as he held onto my hand and kept kissing my hand.

"I know men like him. They usually make you do things that you wouldn't normally do or make you agree to things that would be compromising who you are." Bo explained. I looked away before I said, "Actually, he wanted to date me in secret." I heard Bo gasp before he said, "You see! Weak! He is not a man! How dare he ask you to date him but not be willing to be proud of being with you?! You don't deserve that! You are deserving of me! I will show you off to all of my friends and family! I will be proud to hold your hand in public!"

I got a little emotional because that is how a person is supposed to feel about their partner. We finally pulled up to the entrance of the building when Bo pulls me in for a kiss. It was so passionate that it made me want to take him right then and there. He pulled away and said, "Something to remember me by." I opened my eyes to look into his and said, "How can I forget you?!" Bo smiled before he jumped out of his truck and walked over to my side to help me out of his large truck. He hugged me as he helped me down and said, "Whatever you need, I am only a text away. Protection, lunch, company, or a ride home. Okay?"

I nodded in agreement before I smiled and he let me go. He patted the top of my head and said, "Be a good bunny today." I chuckled and smacked him on his side before I began to walk toward the entrance. I looked back and noticed that he was watching me walk! I rolled my eyes and waved at him before he smiled and waved at me. He then got into his truck and as soon as I walked into the building he drove away. "Oh, my gawd!!! Who was that?!" I heard Lin screeching from the elevator hallway as she ran toward me. I began to walk toward the elevator and she followed me.

"Lin, I don't talk about my personal life at work." I said a bit coldly but I was a bit annoyed. The elevator doors opened and we walked in. The elevator was pretty full when I heard, "I hope you are feeling better today." In trying to ignore Lin, I didn't realize that Tim was a part of the crowd waiting for the elevator with me and Lin. I turned toward the voice and saw Tim leaning up against the elevator wall all the way in the back. "Oh, yeah! We were all worried. You have never missed a single day since we started." Lin said.

I gave Lin a look that she knew it meant to be quiet. "It turns out, Jake was not feeling well. He fell asleep and couldn't hear the calls we made." Tim said but in a tone that was very condescending. I don't know if it was the realization I made in Bo's truck about him or the fact that he's still not over what happened or the fact that Lin annoyed the hell out of me just now but I snapped! "If you all must know! My boyfriend made me his husband and I was exhausted from the all-night celebrations!" I yelled.

Then I heard a few gasps before I heard the elevator doors open. A few people walked out whispering to each other before the elevator was now just us. Lin, Tim, and I were standing in silence as we slowly made our way to our floor. "Um...Jake? Was that some joke or something?" Lin asked with a bit of embarrassment in her tone. I was freaking out about what I said and quickly turned to her before saying, "Yes, Lin. I am still not feeling well and I get easily annoyed. Especially when someone speaks on my behalf even though they don't have the right to."

Lin forced a smile before she looked at Tim who was glaring at me now. I smiled and faced the elevator doors where I could see the reflection of Tims angered face. The elevator doors finally opened and Tim ran out quickly. Lin then grabbed my arm and walked with me to my office as she said, "I am not as stupid as the rest of this team thinks of me. I have known for some time that Tim likes you." I gasped and stopped right in front of my office before I turned to look at Lin.

"Are you guys dating?" Annie asked as she stared at us. Lin chuckled before I snapped and said, "No! Mind your own business, Annie!" Lin then slapped my shoulder before she said to Annie, "Don't be offended. Jake is a very private person and doesn't like to talk about his personal life at work. However, I can assure you that Jake and I are just friends." I realized that I was being a bit rude to everyone. "I am sorry, Annie." I said.

Annie then just bowed and sat back in her seat. I then pulled Lin into my office before closing the door behind us. "Lin! How did you know about Tim?!" Lin chuckled and sat down on the seat in front of my desk before I sat down on my desk chair. I removed my bag and placed it on the floor beside me as Lin began to explain, "I've known about it since our first day here as Interns. Tim can't control himself with you. He is always staring at you and the way he looks at you was the giveaway."

I was shocked by this before I asked, "But Tim was not here for our first year as interns. So...How did you know then?" Lin chuckled and said, "You clearly don't remember but I do! All the big bosses from all the other teams came to the presentation on our first day. Tim was there. I still remember how he stared at you the entire time! Then when we were chosen to become full-time employees, I had a feeling that he would use his influence to have you be put into his team."

I was too shocked by what I was hearing to respond but Lin continued by saying, "Once I heard that you were accepted to his team and I became a floater, I knew that he definitely likes you." I sat back in my seat and felt a bit of sadness because regardless of how I felt about Tim, he deserved better than how he found out about Bo. "Jake? Are you okay?" I shook my head before rubbing my face and said, "I just didn't know all of this. This means that he has liked me for almost two years!" Lin nodded her head in agreement.

"Now, who is this husband of yours?" Lin asked before she chuckled. I smiled before I realized how rude I have behaved towards Lin. "Before I answer that, I have another question. Please answer as honestly as you can." I said in a sincere tone. Lin nodded in agreement before I asked, "Do you like me? I mean more than a friend?" She looked down at her hands and looked like she was a bit embarrassed. "I did. Until I found out that you are gay." She said. I gasped and asked, "How did you know?" Lin looked up at me a chuckled a bit out of nerves.

"When we were at Sam's dorm floor party, I was looking for you and found you in Sam's neighbor's bathroom making out with a guy." Lin looked back down at her hands as she tried to hide a smile. I blushed and covered my face. "I am so sorry that you saw that!" I exclaimed. Lin chuckled and so did I. We began to laugh before I realized that this whole time Lin was just wanting to be a close friend of mine. I then decide to explain what happened between me and Tim.

However, I didn't want her to think that I usually have sex with random men at the gym so I kept it to just kissing. I don't know if she believed me but she didn't press for the truth so I moved on to explain how Tim found us in my condo. "So, you and Bo became official that night before you fainted in the bathroom? Poor Bo! He probably freaked out! I am glad he was there that night!" Lin said. I smiled and nodded in agreement. "Oh, but then Tim finding you like that the next morning! He probably thinks that you have already had sex with Bo!" Lin said before she covered her face.

"Exactly! He wouldn't let me explain and I don't feel like I should anyway! It's my private life! But...I know he was only there because he was worried about me not showing up to work. I do feel bad for snapping at him like that in the elevator but I don't like it when people think they have some sort of right to me before I have even given them that right!" I said before I slammed my hand on my desk which caused both Annie and Lin to flinch in their seats. My office walks were half glass.

Lin chuckled a nervous laugh and Annie just shook her head. I laid my head on my desk before letting out a sigh of frustration. "Jake, I think you have every right to be upset with Tim. As you said, he has no right over you. He probably thought so because of how long he's liked you but until he gets your consent, he had no right in showing up to your place and demand answers like that." Lin said in a determined tone. I sat up and agreed with her. She stood up and said, "I've gotta get to my desk before I get into trouble. Let me know if you need to talk more over lunch."

I nodded in agreement before she walked out. I began to work on my marketing campaign for the big account I just recently signed. I just threw myself into work so I wouldn't spend my whole day thinking about what Lin said. Annie comes into my office and says, "Jake, Boss wants to know if you need a few of our interns to help you with your campaign." I rolled my eyes because I wanted to work on this on my own but my boss will not let me.

"If I have to...But, just one. I don't want to train two new people." I said. Annie then looked through the folders she was holding before she said, "I have just the one! This guy is experienced. He has worked for us before as an intern before he got injured. Now he is back and is eager to prove himself." I nodded in agreement before I waved at her to let me be. "Okay. I will send him your way after lunch." Annie said.

Annie walked out of my office before closing the door behind her. I noticed the time and it was a few minutes before lunch. I grabbed my cell phone to find several texts from Bo. One that said that he missed me. I melted immediately. I called him right away and when he answered the phone I said, "Bo! I am so sorry for not responding to your messages today. I got caught up with work. I have missed you so much!"

I sat back down on my seat before he said, "Perfect timing! I was just headed your way. I was worried when I didn't hear from you. I have a surprise for you too." I smiled before I asked, "When will you get here? I am very hungry." Bo chuckled before he asked, "For me or for food?" I laughed and said, "Can't I have both?" Bo laughed and so did I. "You naughty Bunny!" I kept laughing before he said, "Get down here! I am waiting." I ran over to my window and saw him pulling up to the entrance.

"I am on my way!" I said before I hung up and stuff my phone in my work bag. I put my bag strap over my chest and walked out to Annie's desk. "Annie, I am going out to lunch with a client. I may be a little bit late getting back. Text me if the boss is looking for me. Okay?" I asked my secretary. She nodded in agreement before I headed to the elevator. As I waited with a group of people, I overheard an older woman talking on the phone. "What do you mean? She probably doesn't even know this man! What does he do for a living? Who is his family?!" The woman yelled into her phone.

Everyone looked shocked by her tone before the woman walked away and entered the women's bathroom. However, this nosy woman made me realize that I just got into a relationship with Bo and I have no idea what he does for a living or who his family is! I suddenly became anxious. Once I arrived at the lobby, I see Bo waiting for me. He looks excited and happy. I then realize that none of that mattered. I am happy with him. I feel at peace and protected.

I walked over to him and hugged him tightly before he said, "Woah! Someone really did miss me!" I chuckled into his chest before I pulled away and said, "So, what's my surprise?" Bo laughed and helped me out and into his truck before he got in on his side. He turned his truck on and said, "You will have to wait and see." He drove us home as he held my hand and gave me kisses throughout the drive. Once at my condo, I noticed the wonderful smell of home-cooked food.

"Bo! You cooked for me?" I asked as I walked over to my table and saw a spread of delicious food. "That's not the surprise." Bo said. I gasped and said, "Bo, you don't have to do any of this." He smiled and hugged me before he guided me to my seat at the table. He then sat down across from me and said, "Let's eat." I smiled and began to eat. Once my belly was full and I caught Bo up on the first half of my day, he said, "I am glad that you will have an intern working with you. This way, Tim will be forced to behave. However, if he doesn't..."

I put my hand up and said, "I know. I know. I will text you if I need you." We laugh but just then the woman's words ran through my mind again. "Bo...I realized that our relationship has developed faster than any of my past relationships...There is a lot we don't know about each other." I said before Bo grabbed my hands and said, "I will tell you whatever you want to know. But first, my surprise." Bo looked at his watch and said, "Come on. We have to be quick."

I looked a bit confused before I asked, "Where are we going?" But Bo did not say anything before we walked out of my condo. He drove until we reached downtown and pulled into a business building I didn't recognize. Bo got out of his truck and helped me get down too. A man in a black suit walked up to us and said, "Master, I will park your truck." Bo agreed and gave him his key. Bo then grabbed my hand and we began walking towards the entrance of this tall building.

When we walked in, all of the lobby employees and security bowed. Bo didn't acknowledge them but instead, he walked fast towards the elevator. I am running behind him as he held my hand to be able to keep up. We're finally in the elevator and he says, "A few more minutes and you will get your surprise." I looked around and this elevator was very fancy. The buttons are on a touch LCD screen.

We got to the top floor very quickly before he pulled me out and began to walk quickly again. We passed a few offices and cubicles before finally arriving at these large double doors. He opens them and inside is a long table where it looked like a meeting was being held. All of the staff stood up and bowed before Bo walked me to the head of the table. "Everyone, this is Jake. The man I sent the email about. Thank you for meeting me on such short notice." Bo began to say.

Bo guided me to a seat beside the head of the table before he sat down and everyone else sat down. "I know I decided to take a few months off to regain perspective but I found this amazing person who I believe can resolve our marketing campaign issues." Bo said before I gasped out of shock. A man sitting next to Bo but across from me said, "Jake, I hear you are in your first year at your firm. You've just landed a big account but it is not as big as we would be to sign. I hope you understand why I think we should keep looking for someone who is more experienced."
