Amelia's POV
I heard shuffling and opened my eyes to see Xavier awake staring at the ceiling. Instead of alerting him of my consciousness I laid there admiring him. The sharpness of his jaw, the light reflecting in his eyes. The redness of his lips that parted slightly exposing hi-
"Good morning Amelia," he whispered his eyes still trained on the ceiling.
Amelia's POVI placed a plate before Sebastian and Xavier before grabbing my own, moving to sit beside Xavier. We had just returned from the store 30 minutes ago, which was really crowded but Sebastian knew someone there so it was a quick trip.Sebastian had also mentioned that they were going through a rough couple of months since Brent lost his job and they've been struggling financially. Xavier almost bought the entire store

Amelia's POVI woke up not remembering getting into bed, I smiled as memories of last night filled my mind turning me on slightly. I didn't even bother looking around the room for him knowing he wasn't in here, I walked to the bathroom taking a shower and brushing my teeth before combing through my hair. After I finished untangling it, I realized that it stopped at my lower back, it was crazy and annoying how quickly my hair gr

Amelia's POVI was currently on my way to the lunch room, since Xavier had finally decided to develop some sort of relationship between him and his mother he took her to lunch, so I was riding solo and I really didn't feel like walking two blocks by myself. So I was pushing the door open to the lunch room that I've never used, but I did know the lunch workers since Xavier had them bring us lunch when neither of us cooked. We en
Amelia's POVHis house was a perfect reflection of him, filled with black furniture with a splash of white and grey every where.I was currently in his room, which was filled with scent he was on the bed with me straddling in his lap, his head in the crook of my neck. Everytime he held me it I felt as if he was holding me together, our actions louder than any words we could develop to say.
Threeweek laterAmelia's POV"Move it over, to the left slightly," he said and I shifted the painting before looking back at him.
Xavier's POVI sat on the grass, overlooking the lake before me as Emerald continued to play with my fingers. Emerald looked behind me and I followed her eyes to see Amelia approaching us, I smiled as she sat down beside me resting her head against my shoulder."Are you okay?" I asked and she nodded her eyes on emerald who was now playing with both our hands, giving each finger a dialogue of their own.
Xavier's POVI walked into the house with Ace in one arm, Amelia's medication in the other. I used my body to close the door as Ace continued to run his hands across my stumble, small giggles leaving him. Amelia left work earlier today after falling ill before a meeting, which worried me since she didn't really do well with illness. Lesley and I had stopped at the pharamacy before I dropped her off, getting pills for headaches and an upset stomach."Juice" Ace exclaimed as I moved into the kitchen and I smiled placing him to sit in his highchair, pulling the fridge door open."What kind?" I asked him as I filled a glass of water for Amelia."Apple" He pronouced as perfectly as he could and I filled his sippy cup handing it to him. Footsteps sounded and I looked up to see Amelia walking towards us dressed in my clothes from head to toe, her hair flowing down her back."How are you feeling?" I asked as she moved around the island, walking into my hold, and she laughed slightly her hands
Xavier's POVI opened my eyes after realizing that I was alone in the bed, I immediatley placed my hand where her body was supposed to be frowning when it was cold.I was about to go downstairs but my search was cut short when the cold night air made me aware of the opened door that lead to the balcony. I got up walking over to it, to see her leaning against the railing looking at the view below."Are you okay?' I asked loving the way the moonlight shinned against her skin."I'm fine, just thinking" she replied and I sighed reaching for the blanket in the chair by the door before making my way to her."About what?" I asked covering her body, watching as she turned to face me, walking into my embrace, both our eyes staying on the scenary the sky offered."My mother," she replied and I kissed her forehead, knowing how hard it was to rekindle damaged relationships, especially ones that involed a parent."What do you think I should do?" she asked softly closing her eyes."As your husband I

2 weeks laterXavier's POVI held Ace against my chest as he continued to sleep my eyes following Amelia as she moved over to me holding my hand. We watched the casket being lowered into the ground, my emotions high as a tear fell behind my glasses. The light
Amelia's POV"Are you okay?" Xavier asked for what felt like the hundredth time in the last two minutes and I smiled, watching as Ace held onto my shoulder standing up on the bed."Yes I'm okay" I replied and he shifted facing Ace and I, the light stubble on his face a-
Xavier's POVI kissed her forehead as I tightened my hold, after minutes of her crying in my hold she had finally calmed but at this current moment in time I would much rather her tears than the blank look she was currently wearing."I don't want to go to work tomorrow," she mumbled and I shifted on the bed running my hand up and down her back.
Oneweek laterAmelia's POV"You look horrible," I pointed out amused, looking at his limp body, his eyes were closed and hair gone from the treatment that hasn't been working. The sounds of the machine beeping gave me hope and at the same time brought me despair.
Xavier's POVI sat there holding her in my arms, my eyes focused on the blank hospital waiting room wall, my emotions high as her tears landed on my shirt wetting the fabric."The doctor said he has to stay here," Amelia's mother announced
Amelia's POV"Put her and her together," I ordered softly and he nodded moving away from the camera to do just that. Hands moved around my waist and I smiled leaning back knowing who it was."Are you ready?" Xavier asked softly kissing my cheek.
