Marco's POV

“I need names.”

Giving a direct command, with a voice as lethal as poison, I groaned in the phone to the private investigator, Ramson.

It was barely twenth-four hours I handed the case in his custody, but it felt like days. I knew he needed time to pull it off, but I didn't have that luxury.

“I will give you all of it shortly.” He found a way around the brewing tension.

I hissed through gritted teeth, my jaws clenched in a fit of rage. I wasn't having that.

Siting quietly in the car which was parked by the estate gate, I drummed my fingers on the dashboard, running wild with thoughts.

The thick hoodie couldn't protect me from the gritty jaws of the cold weather as it ate me deep.

“How long do you need?”

“Uh…” he clicked his tongue. “It's quite a dicey process, Sir Marco.” He paused.

The subtle voice in the background and tapping keys were indications that he had his small community on the gig. I wasn't entirely okay with the idea, but I had no choice. Plus, he sig

Elara’s POVMy phone binged. I picked it up to see it was a text from my mum. Not ready to ruin my mood, I set it aside and continued working myself dry.“I’m all yours,” Marco murmured after putting Violet to sleep. “Let’s have that talk.” I set aside my bath towel after cleaning myself dry and sat in front of the dresser, fully naked. From the mirror, I watched his greedy eyes feast on my nakedness, the fine length of my back, down to the soft bulge my ass formed when I firmly arched. “You should come with me,” I spoke after a short pause. My tone was now calm, calculated. I had given it a little thought and in as much as I had every right to be pissed as hell, I needed to apply caution. Also, if I needed to sort this once and for all, they had to accept Marco. “I have thought about it and it’s the right thing to do.” I completed my words. His expression barely changed. He still had the deep admiration in his dark eyes. Quietly, he stood up and walked over to my side. He pulle

Marco’s POV“One more thing, boss…” Kaid’s sudden shift of tone made me pause. “It's Miss Violet, she got in.” I gave him my full attention and squinted as if studying him for a freaking exam. Into what the hell?! Trouble?!When it came to my family and business, a second of suspense was too much for an impatient dude like myself. Still, he didn't get the cue to speak. I analyzed his tone, it was quite exciting, but bland. His face? Blank as fuck. Damn it! “Not even your paycheck gets this much suspense,” I groaned, unable to handle another second of my shit. “Speak.”He smiled, pulled out my business phone instead, and dialled. Still, I just watched. My foot subconsciously tapped on the tiled floor. I was partly able to hold back from drumming on the table surface. Oh, Kaid.“Sir, you’re onto my boss in two.” He codedly spoke on the phone. Again, he doubled the suspense by stretching it out to me, eyes widened, insisting I pick it up. ‘What’s the worst that can happen? We bot

Marco’s POV“Why do they hate each other? Our families—” Elara asked out of the blue, her vein literally beating hard against her neck. “Why… why would they rather tear themselves apart than see the other breathe?”I knew this time would come, it was only a matter of time. For a moment, I paused, just studying her intensely. Her pretty blue eyes were teary. I could feel her hand shaking against mine as she gripped to steady her hold. “The rivalry…” She continued when she didn't get any response from me. Then she shrugged. “What is it for? Money? Land? Business? More money?” She rapped without holding her breath. “Just name it!”Her tone was getting quite dramatic. Still silent, I leaned back in my seat, one leg crossed over the other, and I tapped on the table surface, skillfully, as if stuck on a game of chess. “The Contis don't beef with little humans…”“You’ll stop being disrespectful.” She groaned and pulled her hand away from mine. “I know— I get it. This whole shitty fight I

Elara's POV“Oh, shut up…” Marco’s voice boomed from the hallways. I fought not to laugh out loud. Frankly, I wondered how his soldiers cope. He could be really sweet when he wanted to be, but he was the real thorn in one’s flesh. This was one of the days I knew he slayed every member of his cabinet and brought them back to life just for them to know their places.Marco Conti.A big smile crossed my lips as I dished out Violet’s mini breakfast bowl. The kitchen door opened and his voice filled the room. He sighed and dropped the call—a drama king.“Amore,” his firm arms wrapped around me from behind, and he leaned in, pressing our bodies together, whispering in my ear. “You should be in bed, tucked beneath those soft sheets… Elara, really?”I kept chuckling. “Well, I could make breakfast, at least…”“No, darling. I…”“… pay my staff for everything, even to breathe.” I mimicked him and he joined me in laughing. Gently, he stroked my hair and slowly walked his fingers down to my wri

Elara’s POV“Momma!” Violet’s tiny voice squealed in my ear and her light weight landed on my body. Her small body squeezed under the sheets and her small hands palmed my face, brushing hair from my face. “Wake up, momma. The sun is out.” She whispered in my ear and caressed my face. I tried not to laugh at her innocence. “Don’t be lazy, mama. Wake up.”Holy hell. I burst into laughter and blink my eyes open to see her little pretty face. She chuckled and cupped my face, then unexpectedly threw her face in mine, plastering wet kisses from my forehead down to my lips. “Hey, baby.” I yawned and wrapped her in my arms. “Morning, Sunshine. How was your night?”“Fine. Birdie didn't have nightmares anymore.” “Wait…” I laughed my lungs out. “Since when do cats have dreams?” “I—” She shrugged and twisted my hair around her fingers. “Birdie is special. She sometimes cries in her sleep.”Oh, wow.“Now, she doesn't anymore. She sleeps like a baby.” She drags the last word like she’s the

Elara’s POVMarco’s hand clutched my belly and raised me to his level. Weak and in total surrender, I let him use me as he pleased.“One more dirty lesson, Amore.” He settled me around his waist, anchoring my naked body against him. “You’ll learn not to torment me.” He was dripping sweat.“Ah.” I sighed and pressed against him, smearing my heavy breasts against his sticky body. My legs hurt.Ass hurt. I could still feel it gapping, brutally gapping.I winced and loosely wrapped my legs around his waist, while my bleeding ass slipped down his groin and clutched to the area. “Yeah…” He groaned and carelessly swung items from the table. Glasses shattered, metal almost wrecked the floor, he didn't care. Done with the chaos, he settled me on the table. “Hmm…” I arched, unable to bear the cold sensation and the slightly rough surface. “I fucking want you so badly, Elara.” He wrapped his arms around my folded knees and dragged me down.“Ah!!!” I whimpered, in pain. My hands stretched
