Loving Him

The feel of her fingers running through his hair was lulling him into a state of peace. It still hurt but not that much. It had to be the effect of her calming presence that he wasn't panicking like he always did while reliving those dreadful memories. The sight of his brother being swallowed by a furious sea wave had scarred him for life. He still gets shivers when he recounts that moment. Even now, tears were welling up in his eyes.
