His Attention

The world around faded for him. Sucking in a shaky breath, Asher made his way toward the woman who had caught his eyes at once. He resembled a moth drawn to a flame. He wasn't prepared for this, not even in the least. Words could never do justice to her beauty, no ode or sonnet or poem were expressive enough to describe the extent of her charm. He clenched, unclenched his hand, trying to tame the swirl of desire that was surging within him, after making eye contact with this enchantress. A knowing smirk grew across her face, a triumph glint in her eyes. This wicked woman knew she had him, that he was powerless to resist her charm. If he had his senses working, he would have acted unaffected but the fog of desire had clouded his mind.

Her exquisite sweet scent hit him first when he got into her private space. His eyes sank into hers, silently conveying the condition of his heart to her. Everyone gaped at him in shock as he leaned in and pressed an ardent kiss on the woman's mouth.
