"To what do I owe the pleasure of your unwanted presence in my humble abode?" Serena questioned as soon as Shanice entered through the door, covered from head to toe. Serena smirked. Serena was like a pet dog for Shanice who sat, stood, ate, and ran on her command. She had trained her well but it seemed money and a little pampering from Asher had gone to her head. She had begun to rebel now. She had begun to make a stand against her. And what happens to the bitches that rebel against their owner? They are put to death. Shanice's dad was one of the best lawyers in the world but he refused to take up her case after learning about her crimes. Shanice was crestfallen when she found out about his refusal. No matter what, her dad had never said no to her, he always had her back, after all, she was his prettiest princess. He can't abandon her like this. But the truth was too glaring to ignore. He didn't even come to see her or her mother. "And they said they are ashamed of you," her lawyer concluded hesitantly. Shanice's heart contorted in pain when she heard it. She used to be her dad's pride. This time she wasn't angry but just sad. She hated to be a disappointment. "No..my dad can never say this....you are lying," she mumbled, not wanting to believe it. Tears flowed down her eyes. The lawyer lowered her head, uncertain of how to respond. His client was apparently having a meltdown. Since the day the suicide letter came to the surface, more complaints were reported against her by her old victims.

Asher looked confused at first but when the word was processed in his mind, he smiled. "That's..that's great," he cheered, expression approving. Her smile widened. "Ayleen suggested. I was hesitant a little but now I think I will go for it," she stated, feeling more motivated after his encouragement. "Now you know why I only approve of Ayleen in your friend circle? She is the only one with her heart in the right place," he stated. "But her heart is on the left," Serena quipped. "What?" "You said in the "right place" but her heart is in "the left place." "You say this only to cheer me up, Don't you?" she asked with an incredulous smile on her face and hopeful tears in her eyes. Serena was in disbelief. It sounded too good to be true. Years she had spent longing for it and now that her husband was telling her that her prayers were finally answered, she couldn't believe it. He was amused by her reaction. She was just not able to believe it. "I am not lying, love. I will never say such lies to you" he said, a gentle smile gracing his lips. He could relate to her reaction. He was just as surprised when the doctor had told him. Serena was speechless. She just stared at him, unable to find her voice. How do you respond when you learn that God has finally fulfilled your most earnest wish? It took her more than a moment to process the revelation. It just felt too overwhelming. As the realization finally dawned on her, her hand instinctively reached and splayed across her flat stomach where her baby was resting- a tangible symbol of hope.

"Who do you want dead?" Serena demanded in an icy tone. Asher averted his gaze from her, a small frown indented between his brows. "It's nothing," he answered, clearly reluctant to divulge the name.
