Chapter one hundred and sixty

AMELIA’s POV…

I sighed as I stared at the ceiling. I wasn’t doing myself or my baby any good, I knew, but I just couldn’t help myself.

Everytime I closed my eyes, all I could see was Alex laying on the bed and then Ariana walking into the room.

It had been months. Months had passed and I thought I had managed to forget him, so what was this? Why was this happening to me, then? I groaned as I turned on the bed, placing my hand to my stomach.

Damn Kevin. If only he hadn’t informed me about Alex’s condition. I wouldn’t be this worried and then have to worry Alaric too.

“Amelia?” There was a knock on the door and I sat on the bed as the maid walked in.

I smiled as I got off the bed. “Oh, it’s you.”

She nodded as she walked in with the tray. “Lord Alaric has asked me to bring this to you.” She told me and I drew in a sharp breathe.

“Tell him I’m fine and that he doesn’t have to worry.” That was all a lie. I wasn’t fine at all. Although Brooke wasn’t really reacting, I still worried for Ale
