The blaring of my phone divert my attention from my laptop. I picked it up.

"What it is?" I asked as I reading the document on my laptop.

"Faith, this girl punctured the tire of my car with the little weapon that she call bobby pin can you believe that" My brother exclaimed.

"Where are you" I asked as I rub my temple I already see my headache is coming.

"We are at............HEY...WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING WOMEN!!......NO...THAT'S MY JACKET" I remove the phone from my ear as he shouted .

I can feel his frustration because to handle drunk Janet ,my best friend , is not everybody cup of tea. Well....he brought up upon himself I warned him before .

"What now u can't handle her,someone told me not to be worried .What happen now?"I asked sarcastically.

"Yes..yes...Mother Teresa....I am wrong ,you are right now can you come now to pick us!" I roll my eyes at the nickname given by him.

"Yeah...yeah I am coming. Be with her "I said.

I put my laptop on sleep mode and walked out of my study to the wardrobe of my room grab my jacket ,picked my car keys and left the apartment. I sit on the driver seat .The location that he sent was twenty minutes ride from my apartment of some club, I put the address on gsp and drove my car on the roads of New York.

'New york the city that never sleep' The phrase is rooted in the hustle and bustle of the city, which seems to go on 24/7. There are lots of after hours clubs that don't really get going until after midnight. I never liked going to the club because loud music and crowded places never suited me.

As I reach the club I saw my brother carrying drunkard best friend to the back seat of my car to settle her and sit on the passenger seat with a sign.

"How much did she drink?"I ask him.

"I lost count after seven shots" he mutter.

I sign. " Alex you need to let her go and move on. Find someone who is going to reciprocate your feelings ."

"Its not that easy" he said.

My brother has a crush on janet for like 3 years now but the thing is Janet love somebody else even I don't know the guy.

She met him on one of her business trips in Italy.

I didn't say anything seeing how upset he already is.

I drove to my apartment building and park my car. Alex carry Janet to the extra bedroom .I walk to the kitchen pour myself some water .I glance at the clock 3:20.I sign. I could not dare to sleep now if I do then I missed the virtual meeting with my foreign client.

Alex walked out of the room "Dad is asking about you." He said .

"Oh now he remember he has daughter, I bet he need something" I said.

"Faith he regret....." " Save it" I cut him off as I walk towards my study.

"You can sleep in my room "I said to him as I locked the room of my study from inside.

I walked towards my table and start doing my work.
