OUT OF HIDES

NICHOLAS:

I welcome myself to the vibrant warmth of the silent morning as I throttle through the exuberant city to my apartment. I ride steadily, engulfing the freshness of the atmosphere which is different from that of the countryside.

The city had maintained its radiance even in my absence. It has increased, I do say, as I notice the new large billboard of 'Lucky Roggers,' a popular fashion model occupying the boulevard like he owns the sky.

I arrived at my district a minute after eight. I had left home early to arrive at this decent hour on the plan of going for a quick job hunt before the end of the day. It is required I pick up a part-time job to sort my daily expenses and, most importantly, prepare for Elena's surgery.

I can do anything. It is explicit that searching for a job may be challenging, but I intend to lie about my age and education level; my physique makes it believable. I look older than my age, and so I will portray myself as a responsible adult seeking a job.
