The training room was alive with the sound of sparring thuds of feet against the mat, grunts

of exertion, and the occasional whistle of a blow landing. Students moved in pairs, practicing different forms of combat, perfecting their techniques under the watchful eye of the instructors. Dominic, usually a figure of authority who preferred to observe from a

distance, stood at the edge of the room, his arms crossed as he watched the students with a critical eye.

Among them was Fay, her focus determined but her movements slower than usual. She was

sparring with one of the more experienced men in the class, but she seemed to struggle with

the pace. Her punches lacked the sharpness they usually had, and her stance was slightly off. She was working hard, but there was an edge of exhaustion in her body language.

Dominic couldn't help but smile at the sight. It wasn't mocking, nor was it amusement at her

struggle. It was something warmer, an almost affectionate smile that tugged at his chest.

The room was quiet now, the last of the students having filed out, leaving Dominic and Fay alone. The silence between them felt different now, charged with something neither of them could quite name. Dominic could feel the weight of the air as he stood a few steps away from her, unsure of how to continue the conversation. It had been a strange, intimate moment between them earlier, and he knew he needed to break the tension...he needed to say something."So," he began, trying to sound casual, as though the connection they had just shared hadn't affected him the way it had, "your stance was better today. You're improving."Fay, still slightly flushed from the previous training session, nodded, though her mind was far from the words he was saying. She could still feel the warmth of his hand on her waist, the gentle guidance, the closeness that had made her heart race. She cleared her throat, trying to focus on his words. "Thanks. I'm working on it."Dominic took a step toward her, his

Fay walked down the hallway, her mind still lingering on the conversation she'd had with Dominic. There was training to think about, goals to achieve, and yet, his kindness left a lingering warmth in her heart. The hallway was quiet, with the sounds of her footsteps echoing in the stillness. She passed a few students, none of whom seemed to take notice of her...except for a group of girls who were gathered near the entrance to the training hall. When they spotted her, their conversation seemed to fall silent, and Fay felt their gaze on her like a sudden weight. One of the girls, a tall brunette with sharp features, stepped toward her, her expression changing from neutral to something colder, something calculating. "Well, well, well. Who do we have here?"she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "The girl who's been trying so hard to get Do

The girls were still frozen in place, their eyes wide with shock, when Dominic spoke again. His voice, low and commanding, cut through the thick silence that had settled in the hallway."Don't ever touch her again," he warned, his tone hard like granite, each word carrying a weight that pressed down on the air. The force of his words had the girls visibly flinch, their arrogance faltering in the face of his authority. Dominic's hold on her wrist tightened even further, and the girl's face turned pale "Am i understood?"he asked, his voice sharp as a blade. His gaze swept over the girls, meeting each one of their eyes in turn. The fear in their expressions told him everything he needed to know. They weren't just intimidated; they were terrified. With a glance, Dominic released the brunette's wrist, and the girl quickly stepped back, rubbing her arm as if his touch still burned. The air in the training room was heavy with concentration. Her chest tightened. What's wrong with him? Why is he behaving like this? Questions raced through her mind as she tried to focus on the exercise at hand. The silence between them was thick and uncomfortable, the only sound coming from the occasional horn or tires scraping the asphalt. Domenic clutched the wheel tightly, his face frozen in a stern expression. Fay, sitting in the passenger seat, glanced at him from time to time, the agitation rising in her chest. She expected the usual pleasantries, a few kind comments after the exercise, but he was distant, almost too distant. Fay shifted in her seat, trying to break the silence."Dominic?"
